Wish Arteza would carry this type of large brushes; in a round style and sash would be very helpful for making big bold brush strokes!

The idea and execution is cool, but the payoff on the art work is a bit lackluster, unless that is the effect you were going for. I almost think you should have done the test stroke with the back side of the brush which would have left more pigment on the front for the actual stroke on the artwork. And since you said you have to be quick with this technique because the watercolor dries a bit fast - I was wondering what would happen if you mist the paintbrush with a micro mister (like the Tim Holtz one or Arteza one - if they make one) which would add a very fine mist of water to saturate the pigment without making it runny. I like this idea, though - and can see how cool it would be for different color combinations. With a small brush - this would almost give you like a watercolor light leak effect.

Do you think this will work with acrylic also??

Debatable... Acrylics tend to be very fast drying, so you'd have to work very fast. So probably, it would work, but the result may not be as satisfying as with watercolor
