Agreed. He should focus on how to improve Barca rather than look at what Madrid is doing. Don't want to disrespect Barca but there is a saying "Winner always focuses on getting first place, Second place always looks to overtake the first". This sums up Madrid and Barca in current scenario. Madrid is looking on how we can continue to be a winning team, Laporta / Barca board is focusing on how we can one up on Madrid.

Last year we achieved 88 points & won the league, this year if we win the remaining 2 games our points tally will be 85 at the end of the season, just 3 ponts shy of the previous one, moreover we managed to reach the QF of rhe UCL. So despite all the injuries that we faced, i think Barca have had a decent campaign this year the only difference is the Real Madrid were way too good this year and they are about to finish this season with 99 poins (if they win the rest of the games), thats a brilliant achievement. Therefore we cant say that Barca were very poor..its that Real Madrid were way better than us. Having said that i still think Xavi needs to do better and the scope of improvement is huge. Now coming to the management of Laporta and co., thats where the problem lies..theres no proper planning at all. Sacking Xavi isn't the issue here..the issue is when you begged him to stay, did an entire press conference regarding the same and just after 2 weeks you are sacking him? What kind of illogical and nonsensical management is this !! The same thing goes with signing a CDM, the entire world knew that Busquets wont continue this year, the management had 6 months or even more to plan and bring a CDM, Xavi was screaming for a proper DM, but who did they get..Oriol Romeu !! Many top officials including Alemany were sacked and replaced by friends and family members of Laporta..Barca signed Cancelo and Felix just to keep Laporta's agent friends happy...they signed Vitor Roque when Xavi wanted a CDM, as a result Xavi isn't giving enough minutes to a young guy (no defending Xavi here, it's the managers responsible to find a way to solve these issues) which eventually is demoralising him. From the coaching department to upper management everyone is incompetent to run a club such as FC Barcelona. They have made Barca a JOKE !!

Bro Barca has enough quality to play good football. We struggled against every team. We lost to Antwerp, girona, Real Madrid 3 times, we were smacked by Villarreal by 5 goals, we were playing boring and pathetic football. This team needs a new coach. U are complaining about felix loan, tell me whom u would have signed with those ffp restrictions?? We got both cancelo and felix on simple loan deal and both are good players. Whereas Xavi signed Romeu for 3.5M who is literally worst player of the season. @@souRAV2oo3 Xavi wanted Zubimendi and Kimmich (a top CDM is crucial for Barca's style of play) whereas it was the management who gave him Romeu. Moreover, Felix was never a Xavi signing. After losing Dembele Xavi wanted a direct winger instead just to satisfy his agent friend Jorge Mendes, Laporta signed both Cancelo and Felix without consulting Xavi. In Jan we could have gone for a CDM, instead we went for Vitor Roque just to satisfy his agent. This is the level of mismanagement at the club. Xavi lost one of his best player Dembele this season, then Lewa was in a decline plus the injuries to Gavi & Pedri didn't help either. I am not blindly suporting Xavi not I am saying he is a great manager..but under all these circumstances he has a decent job and deserves to be the manager for one more season !!

​@@messiisgoat007kimmich isn't even a CDM, he's a deep line playmaker. You'll still need to have a physically built guy next to him in order to compensate for his defensive loopholes. Kimmich is more like a Pedri who operates through deeper positions. You can't play him lone CDM, someone would be needed to pair with him. Gavi might be perfect but his workrate would be limited him being playing in a double pivot.

Barca fans should learn how to be patient. Xavi is trying to get the best out of the players. We saw what this team can do from february to mid april. We competed really well against psg , but some individual mistakes cost us. One thing i will agree is that our team does not have the never give up mentality. That's one thing xavi has to work upon. Let xavi finish his contract. Let him be there for one more season and let him try. If he doesn't win anything next season then he can leave. And one more thing, i don't think any other manager would trust la masia as much as xavi. We take pride in saying how our young players perform right? Our pain problem apart from injuries were no leadership skills, no proper leaders in squad. Gundogan, lewandowski and ter stegen are only leader. But unfortunately ter stegan was out we were conceding goals, when lewa was out at start of seasons we were lacking goals. Only Gundogan gave everything this seasons without any injuries. 2 MAJOR problems was no proper back up players we have to either use youngsters or veteran for the back up and thats what we failed again.

Xavi should have said i will slowly Integrate vitor in my team...vitor and casado will get the time when they were ready..that would have cause a mild impact rather than saying that the player is not ready for europe...and he should have atleast talk to the players to create a good environment...i am not saying xavi said something wrong ..he is stating the fact but the way he is saying it should have been avoided

Judging a club's success or a manager's success on the basis of the number of trophies won is a valid criteria in my opinion and going by it, just 3 trophies in 5 years makes Arteta's tenure at Arsenal a very underwhelming one. Last year they were having a lead of 8 points from 2nd placed City & still couldn't win the league, this season they failed to win against clubs like Fulham, West Ham, Villa, etc. Had they won these games, Arsenal would be the PL winners by now, instead they were praying for Spurs to defeat City...when you make a mistake twice it's called incompetence not a mistake and that's what Arsenal under Arteta is doing in consecutive seasons. Towards the very end when each game is decisively important for your title race and one point can make a huge difference between winning and losing, Arsenal crumbles under pressure, they lose their focus and eventually end up losing the title race..and this has happened twice untill now. Developing a team, building for the future and all this is ok..but winning titles is important too. We have to also consider the timespan here..3 titles and not even one major trophy in 5 long years is unacceptable imo..and when you say Arteta has developed this team but if they are making the same mistakes twice, or even thrice will you call that development. If they every season towards the business end of the campaign fumble, lose their concentration & bottle the chance of winning the league..will you call that improvement? No Zee bhai that imo is deterioration. Being a Real Madrid fan,I can say that Xavi has done a great job in the last season. Somehow this season they didn’t great this season. But I don’t think that Hansi Flick would great than xavi. As a football fan I don't like pep tactics, he made football funny and easy ... It's my personal opinion.. football is not always attacking throughout 90 mins, they does , passes in spaces , control the ball , centre back comes into midfield, right back playes as a winger , they made the football so so complicated, the real football is easy football like madrid , Bayern , Milan playes .. if one team sit back they don't pull the team upwards ..
