Greg, fantastic job! A hint: Look for the word "sheet" in a vocabulary for rigging in sailing ships. With these parts of the rigging the sails will be stretched to perfection to catch the wind and your model will look even more superior!

Thankyou very much . That is exactly the sort of information I have been looking for so I can improve.
Thanks for your quick answer! And good luck with the sheets! And I am waiting for part 68.

Part 68 will hopefully be out in 3 or so days. Installing 80 cannons is taking a while 😉
I like it a lot...good job

Grant is right. As the first model, you have chosen and mastered a difficult task.

Thanks, Wolfgang. It's probably not the smartest decision, but it has taught me a lot.
I can only imagine how many yards of thread will be used in this build. Looking great!!!

I started with the Albatross and thought that rigging was rough, but to start with something like this? Wow!

Thanks Roma 😊 it too me a long time. I think I will do better on my next ship, and I'll use better quality ropes.

Very good Greg. how do you get your threads to go through the pulleys so easily, I get fed up using my needle threader all the time
@GregWilson635

Thanks, Bill. I put some CA glue on the end 15mm of the thread to make it stiff and then just cut a slight angle on it to make it pointed, and then it goes through much easier.
What glue yo you recommended for the 2nd Planking? I just bought the Essex by OcCre.

I use a tacky white glue I get from Amazon. www.amazon.com.au/Aleenes-Fast-Grab-Tacky-Glue/dp/B000BY6TI2/ref=mp_s_a_1_33?crid=YIH4AM5LRTBZ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.HacyyZQf-LvXFGRp0Buyv-DQGd9GU_D-W4J_mlPMLiyRyiaLPFX5WpJeUZltRwLH5JZ4pwJ-2cDbAy3SzCCVlBDMZrUgKkEqHPRy3nTdgpJVgExmMrlHO863p5gZYeGIJwxceQapf2RND1eDQvEPU2F-4Bsa86tta14PHN8OGYwA9tPSiUKvPEFq9ZuoAHMMbpPobuTHyiNPHiGoL1d5BQ.F_EtqNadG-DCm8zutcAZGUpdDeefhnmK7MtQyqLaQmc&dib_tag=se&keywords=tacky+white+glue&qid=1716234497&sprefix=tacky+white+hlue%2Caps%2C378&sr=8-33
