Great interview. I've been listening to Anthony for decades and still learned new things! There really needs to be an updated bio.

Fantastic interview/ feel the same way that our culture must be in schools- and all music is worth learning about and we must extend ourselves to build upon what we know and make anew!!!

Albert Euyler never heard of before.I've known Braxton's name it's taken 40 years for meto really start studying his work . Wow ! 36 operas in progress. He brings all music into focus . Really like Boulez a formal classical master who started out with the rhythms of the jazz milieu . I like what he says about affirmations of American Music springing from a base of jazz which allowed him to study all musics not as an ethnocentric focus . A real Chicago boy ! My Hero !!

In the Graham Lock book he says, "the solo album was actually made in '67 or '68. It came out much later, 1969 I think". It's 50 years ago now though, I wouldn't put too much stock in something so specific.

@@monsterjazzlicks why you got to go into my own personal channel.. what does that have anything to do with what I texted.. like I say mr. Braxton would disagree with your take on marsalis.u don't like his music or personality ok.. but as mr. Braxton was saying he has been influenced by everyone from trane , monk to guy lombardo..and all genres of music..
