What's interesting about this game is that the character sprites gradually show details like blood and bruises as they take damage. That was quite unusual for fighting games at the time. As the only time when blood and bruises are shown is during the "stage clear" screen that show character portraits with the winner taunting a beaten up loser after the fight.

I met this beautiful arcade game in 1993. I had just started high school. I had settled from the village to the city. And I was secretly going from my family (as if he was committing a crime) to the arcades. I played this game continuously for 3 years. 1993 and 1996. It was great to kill King with energy. It felt good to see her bra. I was a 13-year-old boy. I'm now a 42-year-old person. And I still feel like a child. A child who never grew up.

Same story, secret arcade trips, trying to Haow-Ken for Kings bra and around the same age. 🤣😂

Back then I felt like King and Mr. Big were harder to beat than the boss. There was always a good chance I might lose at King's level. 😂🤣

Estq arcade estaba a unos pasos de mi escuela cuando era niño en México. Aquella arcade tenia un extra mega bass, en un alto mega super volumen ensordecedor.

These old school games don't look good in sharp HD. They were made in an era of low res screens, and it's the low resolution that actually helped with the shading and blending etc. In sharp resolution you don't get that effect and it looks horrible.
