A tasty looking clash between the reigning champions and FA Cup holders. Spurs meanwhile were now under new management, Peter Shreeves was now at the helm again with Terry Venables appointed as chief executive during the close season. It didn't last long however, with Shreeves sacked at the end of the season after a 15th place finish. Here's Brian Moore and Ian St John.

I was at this game, half way up the north bank toward the east stand. I can remember both of them running through to score in the way they did (and the celebrations) as if it were merely yesterday. Great times.

the current Arsenal team can learn a thing or 2 from these big bad gunner who never backed down and will kick the living daylight out of you. Credit to Kevin C who never even complained even though a clear Penalty.......

He probably realized that contact by the goalie is minimal and ref is never going to give that kind of soft penalty.

It was great to beat the old enemy at the old Highbury. Kev and Wrighty at the double. Wrighty winning the GB award in 91/92 season

Football was better back then, it changed once Chelsea started buying the league.. I miss the that old badge too, and highbury..

In those days we were steel...if we got one we could see it out all day...poachers around the net...Adams and Rocky and Seaman...we were tougher..smarter...no where near the skill and fitness of todays guys but had so much that we lack...

I loved this squad but we lost to Wrexham in the FA Cup and were beaten by Benfica in the European Cup.

@@Atticus75 This was the first season English teams were allowed back in the European Cup after 6 years though. They had to catch up, which took years. That Benfica team had some good players too.

terraces were much better. this wasn't long before they went all seater. they should bring them back but millennials wet their pants at the idea, despite never experiencing terraces.
