Yeah, I loved it when it was just him, Diggle and Felicity, Didnt mind Sarah and Laurel because they had history with oliver. It went down hill when they added the other 3.

Mistakes Arrow season 1 made: 1. Killing Tommy off so soon. (He should've been developed into a villain). 2. Outing Merlyn to the public.

Tommy died at the perfect time in my opinion, as sad as it was. But turning Malcolm into comic relief in season 4 was a mistake.

I miss Tommy. I miss badass Oliver. I miss thorough Malcolm.

Ah, back when Merlyn was still a credible threat. Season 3 tarnished him a bit by turning him into a sniveling dog when faced by Ra's al Ghul, and season 4 just outright ruined him with constant good-bad revolving doors (for no reason sometimes) and that 15 second battle against Oliver where he got absolutely stomped. Such a shame how far the character has fallen.

Jason Krueger They can still fix this. They saved arrow from season 4. Merlyn is powerful in the comics he can return to this season 1 glory.

@@kermit1211 You see, that “Oliver has gotten better” argument would work, if it actually LOOKED that way. I will NEVER see the 4x13 fight as canon. I definitely think Oliver could beat Merlyn… if he did it in Season 3. Season 3 actually showed Oliver as a great fighter, just like here in Season 1, but Season 4? He got his ass kicked time and time again by low-level thugs and couldn’t clear a room without his team, but they want to make me believe he could beat Merlyn in Season 4? Just compare fight choreography in Season 1 to Season 4, Oliver was a much deadlier fighter in his early days and he still couldn’t beat Malcolm. So let’s not use that fight when referencing how he became a better fighter than Malcolm

I like how Tommy saw his dad kill a bunch of people, then opened this secret door in his heavily fortified office and never thought to ask questions or check that out afterwards, and then also doesn’t put all that together when Oliver tried telling him who Malcolm really is

Damn this show used to be so good!

Damn watching these season 1 and 2 scenes is like watching a totally different show when comparing what arrow is nowadays. =(((

I miss the "younger" malcolm, the one with a firm zeal for a cause. He was somehow less evil as a genocide, than the selfish man we are knowing. Just like with oliver, faith and dedication is what defined their skills, in fact fighting scenes were set up better, and displayed clear "martiality". Dark archer, the magician, is all. Demon head is nothing.
