I agree with you 100%. It is hard to determine what happened when we only see a small portion of the video. He wasn't complying which makes things worse, and the way she is reacting as well can also make the scenario dangerous not only for the officer but can make the suspect more nervous, or aggressive

They censored the video because the guy went from passive resistance to active resistance and started fighting. They knew that would make people call them out and they wanted to sell the narrative of “see I wasn’t fighting, I was being completely reasonable!” I can’t stand people who push this kind of crap. I bet if we could watch the whole thing, we’d see he refused to ID and was passively resisting the entire time. More and more I think there should be a mandatory basic law/policing class added as a requirement in high school. People need to be taught why police do things they do and about the use of force continuum, etc. There’s too much misinformation out there that’s making people think incorrectly and they watch videos like this and think the cop was in the wrong. Then they go on to do the same thing thinking they’re right. Maybe if they had at least a basic understanding they wouldn’t be as easily brainwashed by this junk and less people would cause issues for the police on traffic stops.

It doesn’t matter. Cops shouldn’t be. They get paid by imposing a property tax in us against our will. Then threaten us with homelessness if we don’t pay. Cops were wrong from the beginning.

It’s like a painter coming to paint your house without your consent then sending you a bill later and threatening you with a lien against your house if you don’t pay.

He was with the Mississippi Highway Patrol. I spent many years looking for them hiding from me as a teen. lol... Backup is usually far away in many cases for them, they have small troops (sub station departments) considering the size of their territories. I am actually surprised how quick backup arrived based on the video. I am assuming there was a lot missing from the beginning of the contact as it doesn't even show him calling for backup.
