Hey rich the tire shraping works beter not glueing it just put glue on the nots ...ive not had no problèmes and it gives me the nice wheel spin and just a nuff boloning in the wheels with what have on my 2.8..but sweet bash bud

RC RIDER thanks brother 👊!!! Yeah I figured the circumferential glue is what stiffened the braid up so much. I never did any knots, just tacked on end and then did 3 full wraps. Initially, was only planning to do glue every inch or 2 but the line was pulling away when I'd squeeze the tire and I didn't want it moving on me when I'm drifting over rocks...etc. Appreciate the feedback brother!!! 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

Awesome Truggified bash bro!! Killer SENDS! 💪💪That's funny I had mine out yesterday! I had to re install an Outcast battery tray as my old one snapped from the chassis. Looks like the braided tires held up well...I did my Mx28's with just one layer of tape but prepped them better and vented them so hopefully they'll hold up. It's a mess once they let go! RC DUDE81 thanks so much brother 😂🤘🤘!!! Yeah I had some really hard landings at the bigger spot 😨. It definitely pays to take care and prep well with the tape jobs. I failed to vent my first taped set of MX28s and I'm certain it led to the tape eventually letting go. The braid has held very well, but I've had to change my throttle use or just spin out on rough dirt spots. Still waiting for a ribbed Backflip 2.8 😱. It's a bummer that Proline hasn't made a balloon resistant tire yet. That's crazy about your Outcast tray. Hopefully it was a fluke.🤔🙋🙋😲😲😲😎💪👊👊

sRCparadise thanks so much Steven 😂!!! I love all the RCs, but the Truggified is still my fav 😍. So bloody fast. Just challenges my senses like no other👊. The 4M bolt mod is up to you. 3M can suffice, but I still recommend drilling the brace out and running the bolt from the bottom with a nylon lock nut on top. That way even if the bolt does break, the shaft doesn't get trapped in the chassis support 😱. It happened to me 2-3 times. It's a pain in the ass trying to drill out a busted bolt 😵. I just got fed up with it...Lol. 🍻🤘🤘😨😨😨😎💪👊👊

Yeah it got up to 85-90F out and just like last year, tried to cheat my taller "winter time gearing" a bit too long perhaps 🤔. I'm thinking it's a wheelspin issue also as the ground is slippery dust again. 16T is going back in 😰. Going thermal is no bueno, especially mid-air 😨. Just tested the Hobbystar 4092 1480kv with a Hexfly Hex 6 8s version in the Kraton yesterday 6s 22T 😱. No shortage of torque...Lol!!! 😨😨😨😵😎💪💪💪💪👊👊

Rich Duperbash lol yeah I'm starting to feel with the same here in South Texas! Heat is our enemy every year. Some day when it's 95-105 no point in running the trucks. Hell yeah on the Hexfly and hobbystar 4092 motor. Glad it's working out for you. Can't wait to see the video of it in the Kraton and running. I'm always nervous to recommend electronics. _kekz_13 _ thanks brother 👊. Yeah I'm running Kraton hexes, hubs, and stub axels. Gives you about an inch wider stance and allows for 2.8 MT style wheels. Some guys just run Team Associated RC8T hex extenders. The set pin is slightly larger though. You can either drill out the axels or make due with the Arrma pins and Associated retaining clips.🙋🙋😎💪👊👊

I'm definitely getting a Typhon for my next rtr. I like building my own rigs piece by piece that way I get exactly what I want. But bashers have come such a long way that you don't have to build your own to get crazy performance now.

Great Bash Rich !! Had some sweet hang time there !! How good was that late correction 😲 Bummer about the fan I’ve had a few do the same thing. The wires come of the solder and they stop, sending the rig into Thermal cut off 😵😲😁 The strapped MX’s look mad for 6S speed bashing. CAMO RC !! Thanks so much brother 🤘🤘!!! Yeah these braided wheels allow for some SICK speeds, but a pinch of ballooning is optimal no doubt 👊. I can't wrap my head around why the tire makers aren't filling the void with a reinforced rubber 🤔. It's not that hard. Either do internal webbing like JConcepts G-locs or circumferential ribbing like the inside of the Backflips. Doesn't need to be belted persay. I'll take a looksy at my fan connections. Definitely not good when you're running a buggy body especially with limited air flow. Do need to gear down either way though 😭. Such a painful necessity. Gotta say the Truggified took some serious chassis slaps 😱. Thank goodness for the yoga mat in my battery tray. I mean let's be honest, the wife isn't doing damn yoga anyways ...Lol. 2.8 Backflips would be a dream come true 😰. Especially with a 1/2" offset. 🍻🙋🙋😲😲😲😎💪💪💪👊👊

Minim4L RC thanks brother 👊. I used Proline 2.8 17mm hex F11 rims and Proline 2.8 MX28s to build my own. They do sell them with 17mm hex now as premounts. That's what comes stock on the Proline Pro MT 4x4. 12mm hex is too small for these power systems. 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

Rc Anonymous thanks so much Matt 😂!!! You're right, traction is overrated...Lol😱. It's taken me several bashes to adjust to these strapped ones. They do allow for ridiculous speeds though 😨. It felt great to get the Truggified out again 👊. Still is my favorite all around RC😍. I wish like you said Proline had a harder compound or ribbed internals like the JConcepts G-locs or even maybe a Backflip 2.8!!! They allow for that perfect amount of expansion at speed. So sorry about the UDR brother 😢. I would get it back before it breaks the wallet. That's sad to here it's been problematic. A bigger RC really should be built stoutly like the Losi 1/5🤘. Yeah I'm dropping a 16 tooth in pronto. 18 was fair play during the winter time, but temps almost hit 90F outside during a mini heatwave and my fan was already glitching on and off. Appreciate the compliment on the body. I actually didn't intend to go V3 look, just love metallic blue. Realized after the fact it was extremely close in color...Lol. Hope all is well brother 😂. The mx28s are certainly alot better at speed strapped .. you should try them on the pro mt .. really changes the whole feel to the little beast with no ballooning.. just allow alot more air time to do backflips .. front flips are still no problemo 🤣🤣🤘🤘🤘😜😜😜😜. Some 2.8 backflips would be EPIC !!!!!😎😎😎🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩. and yeah that's it about the rubber . I honestly want proline to do a slightly smaller 3.8 wheel and tyre .. same dimensions as the dboots backflip .. in a thick rubber .. could be epic for us truggy/MT basher guys 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘😎😎😎😎😎😎😎 Cheers bro . I've just cleaned it all back up for him . I knew after having a good look over it that it was not going to be the greatest idea bashing it . Rc Anonymous Ohhh man.... not a stripped motor mesh screw 😨. I did that with my Tekno awhile back. Not fun. Hope you got it sorted brother. Yeah I hear you on the wheels. Smaller MX38s with beefier rubber would be something I'd definitely try👊. I need to troubleshoot my fan some more. Blades look good. Think it's a loose or crappy connection. I have a spare on standby for now. That's a bummer about the the UDR. Was hoping to see some running footage. That's disappointing that she fragile like that. Looking forward to your Losi vid!!! 😎💪👊👊

Hey Matthew 🤗. Yes, I generally give a good blast of throttle as I'm approaching and hitting the ramps. Guess that kinda depends if I'm going full send or trying to just clear a gap and land on on downramp smoothly. In general though, it's best to do mid-air corrections (throttle or brake) early enough to level off and land on all 4's. Definitely don't want to land on hard throttle. I try to keep my wheelspin with the pace of the car when landing. 😎💪👊👊

What shock weight of oil do you use ?

Are you running bladder or emulsion shocks? I bought an et48.3 and I'm leaning towards emulsion. I will be bashing with big jumps.

curt248 I'm running bladder with the vented aluminum upgrade caps. The Tekno shocks are second to none. I've yet to feel anything smoother. If I was loaded 🤑🤑💰 I'd probably run all Teknos on my Arrmas 😱🙋🙋😲😲😲😎💪👊👊

So rich, you drill out that hole and brace to take a 4m bolt, did you tap it to or just put a nut on the bottom! I've broke screws on there as well! Thanx for everything you do!

corey kurtz yes I drill both out to take a 4M bolt. I don't bother tapping, honestly don't need to. I run mine up from the bottom with the 4M nylon lock nut on top. It's very beefy. I recommend drilling the brace outside of the truck in a vise though.🙋🙋😎💪👊👊

Andrew Wong Productions I'm running 6s SMC 4500mah 90C single hardpacks and Turnigy Basher 6s 4000mah 65C. I run single EC5 connectors off all my ESCs. I always cut the extra loop connector off the stock Arrmas. 😎💪👊👊

Awesome bash! Hey rich the other day my steering link screw popped off from the plastic hole at the chassis. Any tips on how to get that screw to get tight into plastic after it popped out? Some have told me fill it with blue threadlock or maybe super glue? Thanks buddy.

Chris Watson thanks brother 👊. I'm trying to think of exactly which screw you're talking about 🤔. Usually when a screw pulls out of plastic, you're farked 😨. Sometimes a longer screw can catch some bite if there's more plastic to take it. Threadlock blue gel might work. Super glue gel is a possibility also. If you know the part is stripped, I'd probably just replace it sooner than later. 😎💪👊👊

Hanser Delorbe no they rub the hubs with the stock Typhon. You need to widen things with either hex extenders or "Truggify" it like I did by swapping on Kraton hexs, stub axels, and hubs. 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

I usually run 16-18T. 15-16 is safer during summer heat months. That's about 90-100+ F for me in the Sacramento area. 🍻😎💪👊👊

On the typhon is it worth going to the upgraded chassis ? Or just stick with the stock one with aluminum towers and chassis brave upgrades ?

I definitely think it's worth it for harder bashing 😍. The chassis braces are a must 👀 but the chassis just depends on your driving style...etc. There's no question it better protects the center driveline, Lipo, and even the motor endbell. Basically prevents collateral damages from chassis flex and twist over time and occasional nasty stacks 😱. I consider it a must at the skateparks too. Again, it's a personal decision and investment. 🚀🚀😎💪👊👊

geoffcook56 it's the "Chassis brace stop" I think Greg with GKA calls it. The curved plastic diff piece that the wingmount and rear chassis support connect together with. The stock plastic ones break and then you need to buy an entire diff case just for that piece. You can also really bend your rear chassis if it breaks and goes unnoticed. The GKA aluminum put an end to another headache. 😎💪👊👊

You need to swap out for Kraton/Outcast hubs, hexs, and axels to widen things a bit and prevent the Proline 2.8 F11 rims from rubbing on the stock Typhons hubs. Some guys simply use aftermarket hex extenders. You can do that, but it places more load on the stock axels and bearings. 😎💪👊👊

Nice rig brother! I've running the outcast every chance I get but I've noticed it sounds alot different than my other rc's. Was wondering if it just naturally has a grainy kind of sound to it? I've checked all the diffs and they're in good shape but the noise is bothering me lol. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Bash on man!

john hoover thanks my friend 👊!!! All my rigs sound a bit different from each other. Not sure what you're comparing it to, but noise is a funny thing. The body you run can change the acoustics even. Between the spur gear, electronics, wheels, dogbones chattering....these rigs are typically pretty loud. Grainy can be very normal. The first thing I check when I'm concerned is my mesh. Another thing is the driveline for hidden rocks hitting the center diff cup or driveshafts. If bearings are good and everything checks out, letter rip and enjoy the noise!!! 🤘🤘😨😨😨😎💪👊👊

ntaeck82 ntaeck82 swapped out for Kraton hexs, stub axels, and hubs. It gives you extra width so 2.8 MT wheels like Proline F11 2.8 17mm hex can fit without rubbing. 😎💪👊👊

If I remember correctly, I had already upgraded to V3 Typhon shocks with stock oils and springs. Just swapped out the plastic shock caps will metal V2 ones. 🍻🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

Shoe Collections 2017 I swapped on Kraton stub axels, hexs, and hubs for about an inch of extra width to allow for 2.8 MT style wheels. 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
