ARRMA Kraton 6s V4 "Dirt Junky" new ramp and upgrade test...

Ole Yellow out for a mixed terrain send it and Rip session. The new M2C parts have done absolutely perfect in testing!!!! Ironically, I busted a hub tagging a chunk of broken concrete and the swap went ultra easy with the M2C pillow ball nuts. Also gouged my RPM A arm pretty badly. Huge props to Mitch Looper for his drive and passion to improve our hobby. Shout out to Voltage Hobbies and Fast Track Hobbies in Rocklin, CA.

I sized it specifically to fit in my van using 3/8" plywood sides (templates), 3/16" tempered hardboard surface, and 2"x 3" studs for the cross members spaced 8" apart up the transition. It's 30" tall, 40" wide", and 60" long (+3 inches of top sheet over run at the base). I don't use blue prints or plans, just know how to make them from experience. This is a good reference to go by. Skating construction uses the same principals just with beefier material. You don't want too steep of a curve 👀. Beyond 45° is overkill. 2 feet high is actually about perfect IMO. www.diyskate.com/

Thanks Brother 👊!!!! I measured my van carefully first 👀. Portability is very important. This ramp is almost too big to be honest, but it's easy to hit too. Drawing the radius.....ie curve or "transition" is the trickiest part. I traced this one from my halfpipe I built 6 years ago in my backyard. I recommend going to DIY skate ramps for building ideas. You don't need the beefiest materials for RC, but construction principles are the same. Don't go too steep 😱. Anything past 45° will be harsh. Forward momentum is key to a nice ramp IMO. 😎💪👊👊 www.diyskate.com/

Try not to ever land on heavy throttle. That's very hard on diff gears and drivetrain parts. Ideally the trucks wheel spin is about equal to it's speed when landing off jumps. Another thing to add, is me and my buddy decided to get opposite trucks. Competitors, the Traxxas revo 2.0 and the arrma kraton are pretty close to match. He has already replaced numerous shock rod ends until finally getting aluminum ones, and then the toe rod ends countless aswell sometimes immediately after putting them on, so then was the upgraded toelinks which wasnt cheap and added the center brace and limiter straps. After all that his pillow balls started popping out of the knuckles, easy fix there but then his servos stripped and traxxas replaced the gears under warranty only for them to fry completely the next week. And that is currently where his revo 2.0 stands. In his garage on the shelf until he buys the upgraded 70$ savox 1231sg servo. All im getting at is if you wanna play with big boy toys you end up paying the big boy price. Goes either way, traxxas or arrma. The arrma kraton v4 is my very first arrma and besides some flaws its a great rig and im happy with my choice. Especially how much easier it is to work on. Currently money spent the traxxas revo 2.0 is over the kraton. But im sure ill soar past that shortly

You said the only weak stop left but when new there are 80 present of the 6s arrmas is a weak spot why would anyone want to buy anything just to have to replace so much of it before you can even drive it much less bash it. If you are willing to throw your money away just buy a traxxas and send me the money that you would have had to spend on upgrading an arrma
