HAha, cool! You will love it. I bring some extra Upgrades you will Need lol. Yes, These are great box Standard but for surviving jumps like in Paddelsworth you Need some parts like HR/GPM Alu Pin holders, RPM Wing mount, arms and shock ball Ends. Can't wait to bash with you again.

I think the Arrma kraton is a very nice looking rc car but it needs a lot of upgrades to be amazing, but the way the one at the Paddlesworth in June went over the jumps was incredible!

You WILL need an RPM wing mount and I'd recommend getting hold of a front and rear bumper from TBR, they save an awful lot of grief when it lands nose down....trust me, i know!! The rear wing mount block also is a weak point which snaps if you land a flip tail end, but available from flea bay in alloy too. Other than that and the chocolate chasis, you'll have loads of fun....until it breaks and then again and again...I've had no e for 6 months now and have spent nearly as much as an xmaxx with the cost and upgrades and repairs, but have no intention of getting rid coz it's an awsome truck! I have a V3 and it rocks. I don't jump but do drive hard. You will wish you had a better servo and servo mount. The V4 - 2019 servo saver and the radio are for shite so you'll want to chunk them soon. The V3 Radio is fine but I also have a 4s Kraton with the same radio you've gotten and it just feels off so I have a Radio Links radio to go in it before long. That Dumbo thingy Kev just said something about is probably a better radio than the Spektrum. Gorilla tape the inside of the body before you do much driving, especially around the body post holes. Chassis is mostly going to bend the other way so a slight bend the way it is would be preferable to me. Good truck and if you behave with it just a little, it will serve you guys well. Remember, ANYTHING can and probably will break, even a GOM.😮😁👍👍

We used to break the arrmas and the diffs used to sell as quick as we listed them! We will continue to review it, I’m sure there will be comments on upcoming videos on how to fix it and what upgrades solve it 👍🏼

Looks like the box is arrma tough. The chassis is factory bent so you can straighten it back out on the first big jump.

After Run RC at least that is 😂 we bent the prop shaft on the xmaxx... carried on bashing... good as new 🤣

Nice one! IDK, the Arrma's aren't perfect and the flaws are kind of shockingly obvious but the cars are pretty good. I like my 4S Outcast a lot even though it feels silly to have to stick in a $20 Dumbo radio to replace the utterly crap Spektrum one that came with it... Curious to see if you break that Kraton as quickly as Kev; Is it a Pro-Line 2.0 scenario? Shudder, sigh

On the steering unit. Stock it has bushings. If that bearing kit has the bearings for the steering. Do it. So much and easier sterring

I've been breaking diff gears a lot. I set the pinion depth and backlash TIGHT to keep the front and rear end holding up. And stay away from the really thick diff fluids like Kevin is running. That's part of the killing gears

Well if my batteries arrive in time I will be at Paddlesworth with my Red Kraton as well . While I have been waiting I have been buying a few tasty upgrades that are getting fitted

Dont forget to bring some "CAP HEAD SCREW M3X28MM" to paddlesworth, they break often on high jumps.. and the shock rod end.. And for later on, as Andrew Crofts say, front and rear bumper is a life saver. (and dont forget to change the diff oil. 100k in center is to low.

@@ClairesRCs Agree, there is room for improvement.:) But i never go out bashing my Kraton 6S without some M3x28mm, i break them more then anything else. Tried some stronger, but that just bent the shock tower.. so that was not good. But you will love it, its loads of fun. Also be carefull with the lipos, if they are longer then 140mm it will bend/kill them.

Can you please explain what is the point of buying a new rc car just to replace half of the parts just to be able to bash it and how is it a fair comparison to the x max when the x max is stock no aftermarket parts at all

My point exactly! Doesn’t seem right does it?? Our intention ISN’T to replace the parts! We don’t want it to break, I’m with you there... is the ARRMA isn’t tough enough to take a bashing we will review that and keep a tally of costs. After all how are people going to know whether something is or isn’t up to the job! I’m trying to keep an open mind but the more comments I get the more it seems it’s doomed to fail at the 1st hurdle!

The thing is, people say you have to replace this and that but usually you really don't lol. It's a hobby as you know and people just say upgrade this and that because I did.

Ya, that radio is junk. Should NOT have to upgrade it immediately. It is a RTR after all but you do. I got mine a few weeks ago. I'm tapped out but it doesn't matter because the radio is so bad I HAVE to change it. I keep slipping off the wheel and messing up. It's like I can't get a grip with either hand. It's just awful. Thanks Horizon... they do have better radios they could be putting in there. The truck is amazing though!

Of I forgot put a cooling fan on the motor

I think you may not get to see how the Kraton should run, power wise using those xt90 adapters. I understand why you've chosen to do so but you are going to bleed at least some power with those things. Its extra resistance/heat. I'm sure you know this. Just thought I would point it out. Good luck with the Kraton! I love mine. I wish you many good bashes and no broken parts! Have fun.

Yeah we know but we don’t want to void the warranty, seems the electrics can be a bit hit and miss... let’s be honest though going over the paddlesworth jumps, the power is the least of the trucks problems 😂

Your right it has to be modified. Rpm arms, gpm chassis braces,gpm rear wing mount. It's aluminum with a wheelie bar. Hindge pin braces gpm front and rear toe and steering link from gpm. Not a whole lot you have to but it's an extra cost. Now it is just about bullet proof. Oh yes you have to do the shock tower to shock tower brace

Get all your differentials shimmed Clair or they'll end up broken like mine 🤣 Arrma tough 🤣 after taking all the arrma parts off and putting after market parts on, YES but it's not really Arrma anymore is it 🤣 Gotta shim those diffs 👍

It took a around 3 months for it to break. I didn't know this until I watched a Rick Duperbash vid but adding extra shims tightens everything up and makes them last much longer. It's not a cheap car so why the hell couldn't arrma spare a couple more shims the tight fisted bastards 🤣
