    I’ve taken apart and reassembled the diff in my rig over 10 times using shims and even went as far as buying a new diff with the same problem. Followed this video and WOW what a difference, please never delete this video. Thank you, Thank you!!

    You made it look so easy. You didn't even remove the front tires like I see on other videos. Thanks for showing us how you removed the lip from the ring gear. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    Absolutely insane that this is still an issue today.. Thanks for the video. Unfortunately not a good way to show new customers what to expect when purchasing an ARMA RC. Straight out the box and I have to fix a manufacturer's defect. Thank you again!

    Didn't think I had a problem with mine but only ran it twice (got it last week)... This video made me curious and sure enough, both diffs are super super stiff. This being my first brand new truck, I never imagined to check it. Thank you so much

    For anyone that maybe doesn't have the equipment to shave down the diff itself. I sorta fixed the problem by loosening the 2 screws on the diff yoke. The plastic part that wraps around the diff as well keeping the bearing washer in the same location. It helped out a lot with the binding. I'm thinking factory over tighten these screws and with the way its already held in by the chassis. I don't think it'll hurt to much loosening them.

    I just did this and wow.. Night and day difference.. Mine came with very locked diffs and Before I even ran it I did this hack and added some more grease all around.. But yah It's super smooth now and I'm very happy so thank you.. I posted yo video on A few arrma groups sharing this tip with others

    They still have that problem! Brand new infraction Mega did 45 on 3s 7700 kv 20 tooth pinion. Checked my Diffs and sure enough you can barely turn them! Lol I knew it should of been faster! Lol

    Thanx. Great content in this vid. I havn t felt this binding personally. The shim typically is on the crown gear side….that ll make a difference.

    Great video man, yes my Vendetta is the same with lots of friction on the front diff. Also my Vorteks has this same problem on the front diff, not as bad as my Vendetta but still a tight spot on a smaller area of rotation. I can literally hear the rub area as well as feel the tight area on the Vorteks. I also checked a number of my older V2 & V3 Arrma 3s BLX cars that i have, like the Granite V2, Senton V2, Typhon V3, & Big Rock V3 & all of these have no friction issues at all & spin nice & free on both front & rear diffs.

    Yup all my older ones are free but my new mega typhon has a tight spot and is loud when running

    Thank you so much man! I ended up having to do front and rear on the diff housing and both pinions. I wonder if the 1/8 3s infractions are the same way? It's all the same parts so I would assume so

    Yep can confirm! Mine was always jerky when driving slow but it was out of the Box so I didnt think much of it. Nor 3 wheels later my wheels are basicly locked up. Habe to try this Trick tomorrow.

    Those diff gears are plastic? I just bought a Infraction mega and the box says strong 4s capable metal diff gears....?

    Great video. Question: mine goes straight and then kind of pulls and then straightens out again. Makes trying to drag/speed run the car difficult. Have you experienced that? Thanks in advance.

    Still Having bind issue with one diff, removed the lip to allow bearing to seat down further. but one diff is still very ruff n leaving marks on input gear just from me spinning by hand, any idea? Thanks

    Quick question, so my front wheels seemed pretty good, both spinning in the same direction and not much resistance (driveshaft out of course)..but the rear spins opposite to the one i'm turning, so I just went ahead and shaved down both the front and back bumps. It's spinning much freer now, but the back still spins opposite. For everyone that did this, does all your 4 wheels spin in same direction if you were to grab any wheel and turn it (like at the start of the video?)

    Probably because the rear is still hooked up to the motor so it still has resistance

    I've just replaced/upgraded the diff housing in a old v1 mega granite. I installed the new HD diff/pinion and ran into this problem. I'm wondering if the older yoke from the maga/v1 line is different.

    @@metalrc No, the plastic v3 gears(Referred to as "HD" by Arrma). So I'm mixing v1 yoke and v3 gears.

    @@metalrc Now that I've reexamined it, it looks like the ridge you removed on the diff is missing(Basically factory fixed). But my ball bearing doesn't slide all the way in, it stops at the same height as if there was a ridge.

    Yes they are the same gears. Diff n inputs. Just got a mega slider last week going thru it yday noticed very rough binding with diffs. Removed shim hoping it would help but didn’t. Must have to remove that lip, will be giving it a try with a small Dremel..

    i allways replace bearings with aftermarket, clean out greas and use bearing oil. really fees everything up.
