The Dome is called the Jewel, opening in 2019. It’s not T5, but rather a shopping mall. T5 is currently still being built, with completion beyond the 2020s.

My wife and I really enjoyed spending 3 hours at the Ambassador Transit Lounge at Changi Airport recently. Very relaxing and comfortable and there's nothing like being able to have a hot shower in transit. They even gave us plenty of free alcohol vouchers !

Best airport in the world..... Changi Airport definitely earned it!

There are now quite a number of tall buildings in downtown Singapore with those so called "living walls" It is an amazing touch to the architectural scene. I don't know if they do anything to keep the air clean, they have to help somewhat in keeping the buildings cool, but they are all simply beautiful to look at. Wish they would do something like that here in American, and my son and daughter in law are both architects. I've complained repeatedly, but alas...

I'm from east malaysia, whenever I wanted to go other countries.. I need to choose either Kuala Lumpur airport or Singapore airport as a stopover . I always prefer the Singapore airport as my first option because it is top notch and nearer.

Update, after you film the arrival procdure 4 years ago, The Jewel's waterfall has open to the public in 2019 and it's very popular to visit the Jewel's waterfall during the day or night when I arrive or departing Singapore. For the 1st time, I visit the Jewel's waterfall last night when I arrive in Singapore from Melbourne and it's nice, awesome and the lightings is amazing at night.

Yesterday when I arrive in terminal 1 in Singapore from Melbourne on Scoot air, we park at gate 3. I know where to go, after leaving the plane, turn right and follow the arrival sign. Once at the end, turn slightly left, then I go down and see the immigration sign. After immigration, I have to turn right because that's is the way out to pick up luggage, custom and that's it. Singapore is a nice airport. You arrive in B gate because you flew Singapore airlines.

My go to has become the Conrad Centennial. Nothing wrong with the other 4-5*, but the Conrad is my home away from home, it's always just a tad better than everywhere else I've tried. Like you, I'm there every year in early September. Any food recommendations?

If you want to find your baggage belt faster, there should be two screens on the ceiling right after immigration. It will show the landed flights and which belts will the baggage arrive at. I hope this helps😊

You still can take pictures/Videos at the Arrival Immigration hall and Departure Immigration hall but not at the Immigration officers or towards their direction. Also, to go T4, when you are at T3 Immigration, you can walk your way to the MRT and to the Terminal 2 area, then can take a shuttle bus to T4 Public area. It's really a beautiful Terminal and personally i really love it :)

Another good video. The new building is T4. I had a 1 night stay in the Crown Plaza in October before flying with SIA owned Scoot to Perth the next morning. If anyone is planning to stay I would recommend joining IHG rewards for no other reason than on your first stay you receive a free drink in the bar ;-). The newer part of the Crown Plaza hotel was pre-fabricated and assembled in just 26 days! With my future plans I think it will be a few years before I go to Singapore again, but as it is one of my favourite places, I will return :-) Keep the videos coming. Kind regards x

It is a loyalty program for IHG hotels. Not that I stay in many. I kind of fiddled things around for my last holiday. I was 50 and had saved very hard for 3 years to make it special. I flew business class for the very first time with Finnair to Singapore and I joined the Finnair loyalty program. Because you have to spend the point in 12 months which I was not likely to use (didn't get enough for a flight) I moved then to IHG rewards which I had joined because of the free drink in the Crown Plaza ;-) At this point I could of had a free night in a hotel, within 1 year which I wasn't planning to do either so I then converted the IHG points to British store Marks & Spencer vouchers which I have 5 years to spend (£30 - $40) which I shall put towards a new suit for a wedding next year. So a free drink and £30 vouchers for doing what I was going to do anyway and a little bit of effort!!! If you fly frequently with one airline group or stay in a particular hotel group it is worth looking at the rewards programs for free nights or gifts ;-). By the way my view is that Business is not worth the money (unless someone else is paying that is). The extra £1600 over the cost of economy would have paid for my next holiday!

Thanks Ngaire. I would recommend that for flights you check out sites like Skyscanner, Kayak or Google flights to get the best deals. Also Hotels combined or Trivago can show you what hotels are available in the areas you want to stay within your budget. Once you have chosen a hotel it may be worth giving them a phone call to see if they can better the price as they would have to pay around 10% of what you paid to the booking site. Skype or Hangouts can save you money on international calls. Also check out if your cell phone provider offers deals etc on roaming. Here in the UK I am with network 3 and was able to use my allowance of calls & texts back to uk & data in Australia, Indonesia & Singapore whilst I was there - being able to use my data to check bank balance etc was a real bonus and a massive saving! Otherwise check out local Pay As You Go SIMS for data and use Hangouts etc to make calls home. Lots & lots of travel tips on the net - do your homework and you can make some great savings, which means more travelling haha. Happy travels, Philip x

Great vlog we are visiting Singapore in December so it was very interesting, what a walk from the gate to immigration.Do the people arriving share the same area as those departing? On your departing vlog there seemed to be a lot of plans departing around midnight are all the shops and restaurants open late we are departing at 12 midnight on Qantas for London.

Yes, T5 will have its own runways, no mistake, two brand new runways build at the same time with T5. Air travel keeps on increasing worldwide and Singapore does not wish to see the air traffic gone elsewhere.

Terminal 5???? is Changi Airport getting even bigger? that's amazing. Last time I went into Changi it was definitely the biggest airport I'd ever seen. Beautiful airport though.

It is my understanding that 4 will be something of a bump on the nose, but 5 is going to be huge. You can see the stripped landscape between the sea and the end of the runway in multiple posted videos that show landings at Changi. That's the future 5. As for the dome, eh! It looks like some malformed Euro post modern architect mess that would give Prince Charles indigestion. Unfortunately, the older I get, the more I agree with Chuck when it comes to modern Euro architecture.

Yes, a Terminal 5 is being built and according to one of our other viewers will be ready after 2020! Changi Airport is huge, but they have still managed to keep their focus on the passenger! This is without doubt the best airport we have visited and we always look forward to returning. This airport in our opinion provides a great service to all people visiting the airport, a peoples airport :-D

That's because the arrival hall is spacious, so seats are possible :)

Because to get to the arrivals hall, you pass through the departure area until you find a stairwell to arrivals

Welcome to Singapore. Our airport is a place of interest itself. Even we Singaporeans love to bring our family to Changi Airport to eat or just to spend time there during weekends.
