We paid £35.10 for the Thursday night while you were there. So it pays to book early. We booked the night before we arrived. We still love this site for the walking, cycling and the Nene Valley Railway. Garden Centre and pub up the road too. Enjoy your stay. Safe onward travels and watch out for those pot-holes, they really are becoming a hazard everywhere. 😃 Trev n Sue

Hi Bob, Jenny and Poppy, thanks for another lovely informative video. Coco and I have just had an interesting 4 day holiday without water ( other than water in a jerry can ) and no heating. Took my van to my dealership to discover that the exhaust has burnt a hole in the water tank so emptying the tank and flooding the heater, therefore we won’t be going anywhere until both are fixed. 😢😢 So glad you are making great videos to keep my spirits up👍

The potholes are dreadful aren’t they & they are like that everywhere, Scotland seems particularly bad in places like Skye. Looks a nice site with plenty of options for things to do. Thanks, Em 💜

Use to love going to Ferry Meds! Great cycle route into the city centre, and as you say guys plenty to do there!👌👍

I hate turning right onto that duel carriageway when leaving Ashwell. If I've got the caravan and want to turn right, I turn left and go all the way around the Therfield Heath roundabout. The Ferry Meadows site looks lovely in the sunshine with the blossom coming out on all the trees.

Yes, much safer to turn left there, but they still come batting along there.

Agree , in general site prIces have gone up , hope sites keep it real and dont get carried away thinking we will pay no matter what. Motorhoming or caravaning is an expensive hobby. Buying a mh is expensive, buying a caravan and towcar can be equally expensive, then running costs, insurance etc , site fees. Suddenly a Hotel can start to look alot cheaper in the long run. Mh ming and caravaning is a choice not necessarily the cheapest option, a preferred option maybe. Sounding quite old here, but caravaning or Mh ing in the 1970s was the cheapest holidays. Great blog - ferry meadows is on our doorstep but we don’t manage to get there often enough - must book again to try and get my confidence back on the ebike again (after a couple of disastrous falls/fails)

Hi Bob & Jenny. Well done for highlighting the deep pot hioles whilst leaving the site. think by highlighting the state of them near to a campsite then maybe the site will put pressure on their council to repair them as surely the potholes will put people off from visiting the site ?

Love your channel and don't own a motorhome. I will one day!! I love seeing your trips and journeys. The pot holes on this journey are disgraceful and show how bad Britain's roads have got. The road near Clumber as you leave the A1 was bad too. Thanks Bob, Jenny and Poppy ❤ keep up the good work 😊

Hi all, Ferry Meadows definately one of Favourite sites. Totally agree with Bob,the exit junction out of Ashridge is really bad! Had my brother following behind me once and it took him almost 10 mins to get across onto the dual carriageway! Enjoy the show, look forward to the vlog, work commitments unfortunately, wont be able to make it!

Hi. Great to watch your videos as we have just purchased our first Motorhome and have learned lots from you both ! We are 10 miles at Peterborough so will maybe bump into you at the show ! I am getting my prices from what we paid. Yes, they charge for the pitch and per person. Look it up on their website. It also varies now depending on demand and time of year. You also get a discount as a member.

@@BobEarnshawMoHo so what is the point of my wife being a member to. Seems pointless when I have to pay to bring her with me. Every campsite you go on it's based on two people. Seems like a bit of a scan to me

It's joint membership, around £2 a week. I said earlier, pitches are per person not per couple, that benefits single people. You should ask the club for further information. I'm not employed by them!
