I push the throttle forward and my engine whirrs into a piercing hum as I fly between the gridlock floating above this so called “city.” I can still feel the heat pulsing from my blaster through the holster on my leg. I can still hear the electric sound of the bolt hitting her skin. She knew what she had done, so did my now dead partner, but nobody else did. Even as a detective, the police will come after me. He got his pulse pistol halfway out the holster before the Detective nailed him in the heart with a single shot, the read streak puncturing his chest and the chair behind him. The Chief stared at the charred hole in his chest before returning eyes to the Detective, the half-drawn pistol slipping his hand and landing on the stained mat below. He'd somehow kept a grip on the glass. "How did you know?" he whispered, blood running down his mouth. The Detective kept his peace, watching the life drain out of the Chief's eyes before he leaned back and breathed one last time. He holstered his own gun before he stood up, downing the glass of cheap whiskey and leaving fifty credits on the table. The whiskey burnt his throat as he took his coat from the hanger by the restaurant's door, and he let out a shuddering breath as he turned to look at the body of his old boss. "She was more than my partner," he said, walking out the door and into the rain as the blue neon sign flickered and died.

There are some of us who feel like we were born in the wrong decade of time. Hearing echoes of an era gone by we suddenly feel like that is were home was and that is were we belonged. " Soarin had never slept a night in his life. in fact, no one in CYBERCITY had for centuries. ever since the invention of IGGY, the world had not slept. the drug had been invented by ZUCKR the pharmaceutical company in the 2050s to allow for humans to live more of their lives awake, bringing more life into their years. at least that's what they had been told. "bullshit," Soarin thought to himself, "we all walk around like zombies, mobile, but mindless; driven but aimless." he reached for his blank notebook and jotted a few lines down, before closing his eyes. the lightning bolt he had sketched on the cover with his pencil had followed him around for years. his eyelids acted as a projector for a swarm of storm clouds striking down on an ocean, bolt after bolt, rumbling, cracking, booming. "home," he thought.

City light darted into the room,illuminating the early morning visitor. He sat crouched on the windows edge,a pumpkin orange visor blocked any detail of his eyes,and a on old World War 2 helmet adorned his head.Strawberry blonde locks of hair peaking out from under the army green headwear.Its appeared German made and a leather band ran around the upper rim of the helmet,holding in place an Ace of Spades and a Joker card. A black and orange bomber jacket wrapped his frame,the large fur lined hood,draped over his shoulders.Several patches dotted the jacket,ranging from "Zombie Gunner squad" to a german flag on his right shoulder. Across his chest over the black jacket and trey shirt underneath it,ran a large leather strap under the hood and over the right shoulder on one end,adipping just below the waist line before circling to his back on the other. But what was most outing about him,was what he carried on his back. A sleak,gleaming barrel with a muzzle break,peaking at least a foot and a from over his shoulder,as an upper receiver and recoil pad combo stuck out just below his hip,with some visible tubing,running from the back. It was a sniper rifle,but not any standard military grade sniper.It seemed to be custom made and modified.Built to his needs and standards,and to his alone.

Maybe not the best. The "Sega Things (Inverse Phase's Chiptune Remix)" is great too, though it's more chiptune Genesis style than synthwave. I won't mention my own take on Stranger Things cause I cannot have the right distance to compare it with those two versions.

This really got me through finals

I remember listening to this whole mix over and over while I was in my freshman year at university. I was doing a paper on music in one of my bs elective classes and listened to this music.

This music helps me focus so hard while studying, even though most of the time it gets tuned out. The only thing that breaks my immersion is when KZread asks if I'm still "watching". Thanks for uploading!

I love driving on I-5 South towards Los Angeles at 1am listening to this track. The sound of the road, my bad ass system, my girl beside me. I'm in heaven.

I've come full circle. The very same show that introduced me to chill/synth has appeared on my journey through Odysseus's mixes.

Best Stranger Things remix

This channel needs to be bigger.

It's not just about the quantity of content, but the enduring quality that makes this channel a beacon of consistency in the ever-evolving realm of online platforms.

This has the best beginning. I'll be listening to a bunch of these in a row, not looking at my screen. And then this one comes on and I'm like, "Hell yeah, Arrival."

I ran down the endless neon streets. Their bright lights are like rainbow gems, shining in the night. You can never feel alone in a place like this. There’s always somebody outside. cars , tech, people have all evolved. Cars now float, they have sleek design and high top speeds, that are never meet because people are too busy cruising and looking at the new environment. More people come outside at night than in the day time. I mean, who wouldn’t with all the little shops, bright lights and nightlife. As I continue to bath in my thoughts, I reach my favorite ramen shop, アキコラーメンハウス. They serve meals that would make you drift into another world. Today i order my favorite, Beef-Udon Ramen. I take it to go, and get into my Tokyo ‘89. I rev the engine and begin to drive into the night. The dark, is overcome with light form all the shops. I keep looking outside every time I reach a red light. The world we live in now is much better than I thought. I love it, I love to be in the bright neon lights, I love the new cars and the electric sky. I love it all. I love it all.
