Writing it would be hard as fuck tho. I mean, Helga pining after Arnold was a major source of plot and relatability for audiences. With that out of the way I don’t think the show would survive

I cried after this scene and the movie. This was long awaited back then but after finally witnessing a childhood memory being fulfilled in front of my eyes I felt contentment. There was no more to be done. And that’s why this is still the greatest American cartoon ever made.

My childhood ship is now canon!

Loved this scene to death. She waited for so many years for this moment and never once tried to manipulate Arnold into loving her. It looked like obsession but her behavior showed us that it was true love.

I will forever love this scene. I grew up watching Hey Arnold and as an adult its now become one of my comfort shows. Its crazy how much work they put into the characters in this show especially the dynamic they gave Helga.

I'm 29 years old and damn right when I found out this movie was coming out I was excited to watch it ! And then they finally got to kiss !! Ughhh best child hood ever! Thanks Nick for making it happen finally

More like Helga speaks Shakespearean prose; That's why she was able to remember her role of Juliet opposite her beloved "Football Head" Arnold as Romeo in _School Play_ under just one day after her Machiavellian scheme to oust the other contenders for the role (including best friend Phoebe & Lila, whom Helga had to reveal her "deep, dark secret" crush about Arnold to just to have Lila NOT be Juliet, which is WHY Lila's gently told Arnold that she no longer "LIKE liked" him anymore, out of respect for/fear of Helga).

This was everything to me. Saw this in 2019, when I was 27 years old, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't shed a tear for what I wish we received in my childhood... A collective sigh and smile of relief! I'm still a little salty we never got 'The Patakis' as a spin-off series, but this was more than enough to quell the internal conflict I had with one of my favorite childhood cartoons. Thank you also for the reaction. It is certainly a similar, if not same reaction that I had back when I first saw it.

Nick didn't have to do this. They didn't have to green light this movie after so many years, but they did. I am glad they did.

I'm just seeing this movie and learned his last name is shortman...his grand dad called him shortman all the time...I was like dang...I thought his grand dad was calling him shortman because he was short but it's actually his last name. ..

I'm 38 and I've been waiting for this since I was a teen.

This movie was released 2 years ago and some of these comments in this KZread video are only a few months old....come on now we all know that this community is strong after all these years, give us season 6!!!

I waited since childhood to see this happen. Greatest cartoon ever produced. Helga is my fav character. Such a complex, genius of a girl.

Yeah, but I’m not sure if it’ll happen or not 😥 Unfortunately, the newer generation of kids would have to see the old episodes to catch up to the current Hey Arnold, I’m afraid Nickelodeon waited too long, but I still have some hope :)

I learned about this movie during Covid. To me, this was the moment I waited for years. I felt a closure that left me happy and satisfied in life.

This was the moment that made me so happy. I got up and cheered.

Y’know it’s funny, Usually when I come across videos recorded like this and I hear people’s reactions, I think they tend to ruin the scene as I can’t hear everything that’s happening. With this, however… As a kid of the 90s and early 2000s who loved Hey Arnold SO MUCH, I’ve been waiting SO LONG for this to finally happen that I know I wouldn’t have been able to keep my composure! So hearing you cheer warmed my heart quite a bit!

I do love that fans finally got the conclusion that they wanted if not the creator. Hey Arnold! The Movie was…okay. But the Jungle Movie felt most satisfactory. Arnold getting his parents back and knowing what happened to said parents was probably one of the best moments. And I do think this handled Helga x Arnold well working in their moment from the first movie. Bottom line, THIS is a more satisfactory conclusion than what fans first got. As this girl’s reaction is proof of that. 😊 Great job, Craig Bartlett. I tip my hat to you.

I'm Brazilian, grew up with Hey Arnold, it's beloved by pretty much my whole generation, I stumbled in this video, loved your reaction and it also made me watch other Hey Arnold videos in English and... I gotta tell you guys, Arnold's voice is the sweetest thing! Including when he's younger, in the flashback of how he met Helga. Boy characters usually sound off in the original for Brazilian audiences, as their voices are too delicated and thin for Portuguese speakers. But Arnold's original voice works so well for my ears! It's thin, but not in a distracting way. And Helga's voice is pretty much the same as the Brazilian dub, which is so fun. Anyway, just wanted to share it as my childhood feels more complete now
