It seems Arnel refuses to have a big head, no ego--without pride. He deserves our respect.

This is super cool and you can tell that Arnel is still humble and still can't believe all that has happened to him.

I give this guy full creds...great voice, great power & range, great soul...well done Arnel! It is awesome to see dreams fulfilled. To the haters-grow up. Yes, Steve Perry is great but he decided to move into another phase of his life. Don't hate on someone for successfully stepping into the role.

Wow Arnel is living the dream. David Foster and Peter Cetera? He's got it made. Couldn't happen to a better person.

OMG! This version is wayyy better than Chicago's version without PC!!!!

Arnel might not have existed if it were not for Perry and others with the music he emulated as a house band. There voices and his natural talent taught him well. I will always think Perry is The Voice. But you have to give props to Arnel with his chameleon talent. The guy has a set of chops and he is doing a magnificent job. I would be very happy and satisfied to go to any concert Arnel was singing in.

I love Steve Perry in everything he does; nonetheless, Arnel stills the heart of everyone by being his humble self. Arnel goes to his knees with real appreciation to of Ceterra. Arnel is the real deal.

Peter C's appearance to greet Arnel is more astounding than his performance, I love that moment, makes us more proud Pinoy! I am an avid Peter/Chicago fan and I like Jason Scheff as well. Who woudn't like his songs-- Will You Still Love Me, You Come to My Senses and What Kind of Man Would I Be? They're all awesome!

my point exactly. We AGREE!!! We're all different than we were 25 years ago. Some of us are frozen in time and hope nothing changes,but that is not realistic. Were Steve to come back, it would be s far different band even with the SAME personnel. And I guarantee that someone would still be unhappy. Life is life. If Arnel Pineda was a white guy perhaps there would be less negativity. BUT since he is Filipino and Asian, it is understandable for some quarters to give him the cold shoulder. Still his voice and pitch are excellent and he can sing with a fantastic voice. Filipino audience is the hardest to please, and if you are not good they'll throw trash on you (babatuhin ka o you will be booed.)

AP is not here to replace SP. Steve will always be Steve. But man, i give credit to Arnel. The band themselves let him be part of the journey, so it means they believe in Arnel's telent. Just saying.

SpaceAudio . I agree with you on that, there's only one Peter Cetera, and Arnel is not him. It would be the same as asking someone to walk in on an REO Speedwagon recording session to fill in for Kevin Cronin, and expect him to sound just like the man . . . not gonna happen. But, in that same breath, he did do a good job on the song, I have to give him props on that.

This concert was not a Chicago or Journey's Concert. It was David Foster and Friends' Concert. Arnel was one of the singers picked by David from the audience to sing a song written by him. Maybe nobody will be comparing Randy Santiago or Pilita Corrales to Steve Perry or Peter Cetera if they were the ones who sang Hard Habit to Break. Lol!

That was out of pocket son. This man can SING. Grow up and accept it. NO, He isnt Perry. NO, he isn't going to be a chartbuster, but he is good at what he does. And, if nothing else, He's on stage DOING the damn thing rather than typing slurs into a keyboard and feeling smug. join a band and try it for yourself. It's requires a bit broader skill set than typing slurs on KZread. Grab a mike, join the PARTY!!
