Don't believe the media, apparently Liverpool haven't even spoken with Amorim and most of these media candidates. Edwards is very deliberate about his work and has been very successful in recruitment.

A thing that many people don't know is that even Dutch pundits rate Arne higher as compared to Ten Hag. They all knew that Ten is not so much capable and he will get found out. But has been promising for 2 clubs and he has a good personality & mindset that matches current Liverpool team.

Ten Hag's main issue was always that he wanted to take mediocre players to his club. He did that already when he went from Utrecht to Ajax (Labyad and Klaiber) and repeated that with man utd (Anthony, Onana and even Amrabat). Slot has been getting used to form best teams out of completely new squads. Check the transfer history of Feyenoord. We sold after the first season (conference league final) 15 players! But instead he formed an even better team from the people that came to the club and we won the league and reached UEL quarters (lost after extra time to Roma). This year this development has only continued with new players again being in such a high demand of the European top clubs, partially due to his management and improvement of them (Timber, Wieffer, Santi Gimenez, Geertruida)

This is a proper Michael Edward’s appointment….im Pretty excited about this potential new manager

I think many people are skeptical because he comes out of the Eredivisie, which is understandable, and (yes seriously) because he's bald. People see the parallels with Ten Hag and dont like that. Slot is different though, he's consistently punched above his weight at both AZ and Feyenoord, he took Feyenoord out of their slump and led them to be worthy champions. He plays intense attacking football which we'll like to see, and he's a fantastic communicator. The step up to Liverpool is massive, but he is definitely an exciting candidate.

@@nonnayoubuzinnes1669 Mourinho, Benitez, Simeone, Wenger, Conte, they were all sacked at their first managerial jobs, and they've done quite alright afterward. Having a rocky start doesnt mean he's a bad manager. And yea, he's trailing PSV, but if you look at Feyenoord stats they're still on track to get a championship winning points tally. It just so happens that PSV are having a completely insane season and almost went invincible. Would you also say Klopp did a poor job in the two seasons they got 2nd with 90+ points? I completely get the skepticism, i really do, but just look at how he's performed and you'll realise he's done a better job than Ten Hag in the Netherlands. I mean for gods sake, he basically led the Dutch equavelant of Aston Villa to a title charge. They were equal on points with Ajax and had better remaining fixtures when covid ended the season. Thats seriously impressive.

​@@nonnayoubuzinnes1669 in a normal season (taken the points total into account) Feyenoord would easily have been able to grab the title again this year, however PSV is doing just stuff we never witnessed before (for instance winning the first 17 matches and losing only one until this moment). Just deepen yourself a bit more into him and you will be surprised about the stuff he has done at our club. We went from a squad value of just over 100 mil to 300+ in three seasons. All supporters in NL will confirm to you that has done tremendous stuff at Feyenoord e.g. developing talents, winning trophies, gaining back our bravery in Europe, playing high intensity offensive football. Above all he is a great personality with regards to the media, using his humor and spontaneous character to gain a lot of respect from the fans but also keep the squad and players away from the pressure in case of worse periods.

Don’t know the guy, but he probably works with what Fsg want , in other words a yes man ! It’s a big jump coming from Dutch league to premier league football , I wouldn’t expect him to be an anywhere near klopp , but then who’s going to be apart from pep !

Yes. If your organ fails you don't blame the doctor when your quality of life is never the same again.. We've lost the essential organ that keeps us going in Klopp who is the only man who can compete with Guardiola with fewer resources. I mean Liverpool will be back on top eventually, but the only way is down atm, and the best solution is damage limitation i.e. we must retain our CL status and continue to buy wisely until Guardiola fucks off.

they said the same thing for Alonso, De Zerbi, Tuchel, Amorim, Nagelsmann, Frank, blah blah blah (the list continue....).

After watching the way we struggled against Gasperini's Atalanta, I'm surprised we haven't gone after him. What he has done with Atalanta over the years his remarkable. Just throwing another name out there because obviously after Klopp decided he was leaving we should've had a manager ready by now.

@@adam.677yeh but we knew it before we took him, he wasn't our chance he was Dortmunds, if anything wer setting ourselves up for here is Either: we begin A new Klopp type manager who then leaves for A better club, or, we have another Rodgers who comes in thinking he knows the club and the league but in reality he doesn't, and as much as he gives it A go, it just doesn't work out. It boils down to what FSG want which is probably A moneyball style, half yes man/ half researcher who stands his line, weird times, we should of had this tied down months ago but as usual we do ourselves over

Full of world class players in every position, best defender, best right back, best goalkeeper, best right winger, arguably one of the best CM's all in one team

As a Dutch, I think from a tactical and people-skill point of view he's perfect for Liverpool. Only thing is that his time in Liverpool will be highly dominated by the choices the club's directors make considering new investments. Salah and van Dijk are perhaps not there anymore, and/or are past their prime. So the backbone of Liverpool needs to change. If I was Liverpool I would buy Vd Ven from the Spurs. The duo vd Ven - Arne Slot is perfect to start a new era.

He will be one of the best coaches in the world. Trust in Edwards

The way this man has transformed Feyenoord is incredible. When he started, Feyenoord were in financial ruin and placed 5th in the Eredivisie. With very little means, he managed to rebuild the team into what it is now. Keep in mind every year in the Eredivisie, the best players leave for greater ventures abroad. So he had to rebuild and rebuild and rebuild and he consistently delivered. He is also very charming and a good communicator. Would fit perfectly with Liverpool

Feyenoord is probably Hollands Liverpool. They even sing YNWA. You know what other club does that? Dortmund.

Seccond season champion.. Market value from 100m to 300m +- Amazing footbal to watch. Great personality, open and honest. And so much more.

@@jamescasey4768 Playing style heavily influenced by Pep and De Zerbi. Build up from the six yard box, possession based. So the keeper has to be good with his feet as well. Keeper also acts as a sweeper. The team keeps the playing field small. Amount of forward pressing depends on the players skills (forwards and attacking midfielder) but is in general aggressive. So exiting style to watch. Players clearly improve under his management, although most players need some time to adapt. Has the tactical skills to turn a game around or have an answer to the opponents tactical changes during a match. Polite, friendly, respectful and honest at all times. Even when being asked stupid or inappropriate questions. And there is no one in the Netherlands who doubts his skills or has a bad word about him; coaches, (ex-)players, media, fans etc.
