I'm sorry to inform anyone who's seen or is going to see this video, but the link to the units in this video will unfortunately never be provided, as these i created before i had to wipe my pc's storage and i wasn't able to make backups. Fortunately, i have since started making more and more models, so there might be a chance you could get to play around with my troops once i make more :)

I'm surprised people still play this game. I thought it was going to be forgotten.

The ultimate mod would be if someone could make it a normal Left and right click select and order mouse system like every other RTS from that era on PC. It is so hard for me to get used to I usually go back and play on on console because it of the controls lol.

AirWing and Apache were only slightly edited. I didn't create the models for those two. But the other three i did make by myself, so thanks!

Interesting idea for a mod for Army Men: RTS that is lore friendly is a mod that adds Gulf War era Units, I mean both Green, Tan, Blue and Gray Armies have Units based on the Vietnam War and Middle World War 2 so the Gulf War Era units like an Abrams or Humvees could be the next step. Also how were you able to mod this Game.

What mods did you use to do stuff like this?

I took the AirWing model from one of the community made maps, re-textured it to have red colored parts instead of blue and gave it it's own visual and sound effects. Apache model was provided to me by the co-leader of this channel, Wieshaq, who originally put the model into his own modded instance of the game. When it comes to the other three, those are my own creations. Modelled in 3dsmax 8, textured in IrfanView, converted to a usable model file through a Dark Reign 2 meshviewer and added into the game via accessing and modifying the game files.

Hello there! We are open for new ideas in terms of creating Structures or Vehicles, however not Infantry units, as we don't know how to use the game's bone system and get the game to recognize our animations quite yet. Our modding community has made quite a few breakthroughs in terms of discovering how to replicate/create new things from scratch. So far, we're able to make: Custom buildings such as factories that can open their doors when a unit is created, or defensive buildings with mounted guns that can fully rotate and shoot in the direction of the enemy. Custom vehicles also bearing turrets that can aim at the enemy and shoot while driving, or Building Construction units, whether they be ground, airborne or naval We are able to make our own custom maps with special objectives, both for multiplayer and singleplayer maps, make custom campaigns or just random fun missions. In terms of unit animations, all we've figured out so far are Spinning Rotor animations (which i discovered very recently) and then easy rotation animations during the unit's pre-fire or post-fire and building's pre-process or post-process actions. Very sorry for a late answer, but yes i can! I've actually created a map called Battle Of The Nations where one possible nation to play as is the Bug Kingdom, which includes Ants, Cockroaches, the Ant Queen but also Ladybugs, Butterflies, Rhino Beetles and Spiders (tho without animation) as usable troops! (I didnt know about a snail)

I'm sorry to disappoint, but the mod you see in this video has been lost to a datawipe of my pc. Nevertheless, i am working on a new mod which will have many more custom units!
