Not sure where you were... I was a 91B back in 1979...went to Grenada for 4 weeks as a Combat Medic even though I was a 91D Operating room Tech...Yes I was first a 91B... Then was sent to the Gulf war and did 6 months there...saw some pretty horrendous injuries...But I did the best I can. 91 B was the old Combat Medic code...dont know when it was changed to 68W

You aren't missing much, bud. You're gonna be deployed into a clinic somewhere around the world and do FUCK ALL. Other than PT around 4-5 am It'll feel like an office job. 68 W has seriously gone downhill since the Army implemented "Life Saving Training" for one member per infantry squad. A 68 whiskey is essentially a stepping stone towards preparing/going into the 75th Ranger Regiment.

I'd definitely consider the Medical side, having anxiety might make it difficult but If I choose to pursue it, I'm not turning back and I'll make myself better. I love to help people, and if I have what it takes and decide to change up my future, this is the way I'd go. Thanks to everyone enlisting, it must be so hard but it's inspiring.

MollyReisenauer it all depends on your company. I was in Delta 232, and they had us put our names in if anyone wanted to make the graduation video. So I got chosen to edit and film, they specifically wanted us to use GoPros. But they let me use my Canon 5D Markiii DSLR to take actual photos during other stages of training. I ended up brining the Canon with me to the field, so some of the shots are from that with a 50mm f1.4 Canon lens. We were only allowed to "film" Bullis. Hope this helps and good luck with the rest of AIT.
