the windscreen wipers are incorrectly fitted.....they have to go to the other side

You should have gone for a drive. The pre-selector gearbox is a kind of fore-runner of the modern automatic gearbox. But it is a bit tricky to get used to. I am sure the car's keeper can operate it. And he could have explained it to you while using it.

I think that in India such a car, with a good climate a modern stereo, can be used as a car for long business trips or pleasure ........
