Armstrong Powerhouse Class 387 | Train Sim Classic | London Kings Cross - Cambridge (Part 1)

Hello and welcome back to another episode of Train Sim Classic!
Today we're going to be driving the Class 387 on a scenario made by Magic Toad. This scenario will see us drive a 90 minute journey from London Kings Cross to Cambridge on the Alan Thomson Sim Kings Cross to Kings Lynn route.
Part 1 involves us driving this 8 car Class 387 Electrostar unit from London Kings Cross, as far as Welwyn Garden City. The scenario is set in the early 2020s so there's plenty of modern stock to be witnessed. We're a semi fast service so will be calling at a few stations en route.

Its nice to see my local line, I live in King's Lynn so seeing this really is pretty cool. I do hope this is made in a modern train sim world game

Got couple quick shorts in the cab with my uncle last year in the 387 gatwick livery
Do a video on the new Class 317 pack and you could do a run from Peterborough to Kings Cross with it.

Funnily enough, right as u set this for premiere, I was in Kings Cross abt to head up to Donny and there was an issue with this route where the overhead equipment broke and trains were getting diverted via St Pancras 😅 (This is Tuesday evening)
I wish my pc could look like that 😄
is there a route update i missed, just tried this scenario and the start signal for me is the driver side
Could you do a run to kings lynn at some point from kgx i believe there a route that goes the hole way

That's the route we're currently on @tjwillow20! It's just this service goes as far as Cambridge. Maybe we could do it on a livestream sometime :D

@@JoeDobsongaming the station was refurbished 5 years ago and there is a massive multi story car park right next to the station. The nearby roads are now unregognisable to how they are depicted in ts because the ecml south add on is so old I was in primary school when it came out.

@@JoeDobsongaming I've seen that map it is indeed outdated.
The depot on the left after Harringay with the LNER sets is Ferme Park, the sets go on there for fueling (well no more) washing and storage then they move onto Bounds Green Depot after that With regards to running fast there isnt usually any scope in the timetable to do so and get back in slow for Potters Bar it is an option for the signaller to get around the stopping Moorgate - WGC service should it be late but the newest timetable has the Cambridge service stopping at Ally Pally now so running on the fast is now out the window

I bet not long after they became electric they still diagrammed some EMUs to go for fuelling, we were asked this when we did the 333 course at Northern... "Where do they put the fuel on these".... It stumped us all and we all felt very stupid when we realised they were taking the mick haha :D
