@elliotalderson8358 by armor do you mean armor? Or do you mean clothes? The gladiator days and Olympic fighters didn't have crap for armor. The bronze age warriors couldn't afford armor. The best they could do was a leather arm guard. Hell, the dark ages, the regular viking or warrior of christ could not afford armor. Armor back then was like buying a brand new truck these days. Only the more wealthy types could really afford it. Joe blow farmer could not. Most of those people were running into battle with just wool tunics on. That aint stopping anything, lol. But i do agree with you that the quote is a little over the top. Unless you have a healing factor i would never live by those words

People doing naked runs are doing it because it’s challenging, not because it’s better defensively. The only thing that light armors do well is A: they’re light and keep your weight low and B: usually provide better elemental resistances than heavy armor. But heavy armor is usually the winner for fashion and physical damage

Look the enemies will miss more often as they will be "confused" so your attack, strength and defence will go up. Also your throw attack will also rise, also will increase additional attacks, only downside is they will attempt to strike your rear.

Even though the defense of plate is always worth the minor movement difficulties irl, in games it's always way more cumbersome than it should be.
