Armor of God Prayer
Based on Ephesians 6:10-18
Lord, I will be strong in You and in Your mighty power. It is by Your strength that I win every battle. I put on Your full armor so I can take my stand against the schemes of the devil and all his demons. I understand my struggle is not against flesh and blood. My fight is not with people. My fight is against the devil and all his demons.
I will wear Your full armor so when I am attacked I can firmly stand my ground and not be over taken.
I put on the Belt of Truth. I will walk Your truth, Lord, who You are and who I am in You. I will walk in the authority You have given me and stand against the enemy when he attacks me. I will carry Your truth everywhere I go and teach others who You are in them and who they are in You.
I put on the Breastplate of Righteousness that protects my heart and other vital organs. I wear Your righteousness, Jesus, and fully recognize it is Your righteousness that allows me to boldly approach the throne room of God. I will rely on You and You alone. I will walk in Your example.
I put on the Shoes of Peace to spread Your Gospel. I will walk in peace and bring peace to every situation I am involved in. I will not allow the enemy to steal the peace You have given me.
I take up the Shield of Faith to extinguish all the fiery darts of the enemy. I will hold up the shield of faith against every dart of the enemy and not one will penetrate the shield You have given me. It will protect me against every attack the enemy throws at me.
I put on the Helmet of Salvation which is my hope in the You. It protects my mind against the enemy’s attacks on my thought life.
I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is Your Word. Your Word is living, active, and sharp. It stands against the enemy every time and allows me to walk in victory. When I speak Your Word, the enemy will have to flee.
Lord, help me to pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and request, to be alert and to pray for my brothers and sisters in Christ.
