They had another cook back in the day ffs if i can think of thr term was racematic and the other way was another thing the difference being if they had to synthesize their own safrole or get it from the safrole oil from the Cambodian tree's or source their own n synthesize it. The difference between the 2 was im not even that sure lol ones more speedy n racy thr other more mellow chill n amber the less cloudy n more clear over the years molly became itswas harder to get it naturally from the tree and thats the big difference between them feeling extremely clean where u could still roll for like 24hr on the clean stuff is heavenly there's no down side but thr more man made synthetic shjt sucked it only lasted 5hr and then came down to a nasty come down that had a rough come up hit u felt like the old beans that got cut with meth or amphetamines then those even came back lol no one trust pills pressed anymore lol(before the molly was all thst one could find) eventually which we didn't mind cuz it was easier to tell what ur getting n test kit n all that but they'd both test real fkn clean n then this different result was felt i kept an old clean one and took it a couple weeks after a dirty one and it was a world of difference and the only difference was that one had natural saffrole oil thr other didn't thr results killed it for me and i only want the natural kind lol but it all got too dirty n dangerous cuts n now today everything's fkm cut with fenty so yeah it really is different not in yr head

I only once in a while get to find a unit that really knocks me off my feet. Coincidentally, last weekend when I was at some friends home after we went partying at Amsterdam Dance Event... I was sobering up and in no way ready to go home, so took just half a unit from a friend. Normally half a unit keeps me awake, but won't really get me spacing heavily. This unit got me grinding my teeth for five hours straight... I was so happy finally having a decent unit again. After twenty years most stuff doesn't really do it anymore, so you're mixing all types...but this was the first time in years I was so heavily fucked up. Had a blast! Sadly these units are already becoming rare...

@@DJdeliverance both of you are right, when your more care free and have tons of serotonin and dopamine receptors it feels better- as you get older we have less of those receptors open for attachment and the result may vary. this is all conjecture, ive not tested this hypothesis, only on my Ex, and she resides on a different planet.

I recently heard of the way they use to be cooked was natural using Cambodian tree for the safrole oil n now that's way harder to get or something so thet had stsrt needed make it synthetic n I'm not even sure if that's the difference between the what is it racematic vs anti or something it's been so long it was the chemistry of it cuz i took an old bean like 5-7yr ago now but it hit so different it was better than the old ones lol. But ya i wouldn't bother with anything not legal these days cuz of fentanyl and they're trying to kill us all out here lol. But it was a fun scene while it lasted perhaps it'll return someday. Even if it did rn who can even afford it or find the time lol

When I just started to listen to the latest trance in 2015, my obsession was Armin Van Buuren. I used to think nowadays trance is so good to hear. Until I started digging in the older stuff and I found this. Amazing, truly opened my mind to the old trance. I used to listen to it so many bloody time, I just cannot count. 2 years later I have been catching up with all the updated trance, older trance, understanding what are the difference of psy, progressive, uplifting, melodic etc. However I realised that i couldn't find anything like this to listen at a trance festival anymore, I mean, the flow, the speed, the baseline, it was so smooth, but simple, no drop (which you dont need, if you know what i mean). My biggest regret is I wasn't born early to listen to these amazing set in live. on the other hand, thank you for the internet.

Still the best live track of all time... So many good songs on here. I remember when this was live, I got to see it on my computer.. I immediately hooked up my sound system and blasted this. Cops called, they didn't care too much. Tripled paned windows baby!

These classics bring me back in time. Such an amazing journey.

Listening to this is making me feel all nostalgic! This is proper Trance. Nothing released today comes close to this.

I remember first hearing this soon after it was uploaded when I was just a kid. It is still my favorite set of all time to this day and I haven't gotten tired of it despite listening to it at least once or twice a day at home. I miss these days of Trance. *THIS* was Trance.. You can just feel it. You just don't get that feeling anymore these days..but I'm glad this set was captured and shared with the world. Thanks so much for uploading this for others to discover.

I know exactly what you mean. This kind of Trance is just typical 90s/early 00's and there are only a few DJs who still play this kind of Trance (Mike P.U.S.H., Fred Baker). It's a shame no one of the big producers thinks that this kind of Trance needs a comeback.

Understanding this music and where it can take you is for a privileged few. It creates a feeling inside you and that will never go away. 21 years after I discovered trance not a day has gone by where I haven’t listened to it.

I got this back on 2003 as well in NZ. 39 this year and still remember thumping this around the house 13 years ago. Had Gatecrasher Red , Blue and the rest. Godskitchen as well. Then came DJ Tiesto in Search of Sunrise sets. Still one of his best ever. Now into Above and Beyond/

One of the best sets ever created. Those were the times! People blasting airhorns, screaming......just pure Love!

So much emotion and power in this music. So many memories when I jam this set. In my opinion the best TRANCE set of all time. If you can't feel anything from this set u are not a true trance fan!

It used to close shit early the point it would of been great if them night's went on till 3am like the old rave night's up till 95 when the government fucked up raves in the point

You'll never here music like this again. Dance music these days has gone downhill quicker than a dog in a handcart. Thank fuck I and many others were the right age to enjoy days and nights like this and Gatecrasher, Creamfields etc. the music, the people, the drugs and above all else the memories that will live for ever. I don't listen to today's crap that passes off for dance music and I feel many of the DJ's we used to love and listen to have sold out their old fans to go comercial. More into indie and Rock now but will always find time to listen to classics such as this and bang my old cd's on to reminisce about the good times I had in the past. In the famous words of Gatecrasher, "It will always be with us"

Dac DT-HD What part of the world are you?. There are some real good tunes out there its just a lot of stuff you have to search really hard for it depends what style you like. But the big parties do seem very commercial. I like mainly banging trance with uplifting melodies with a bit of a techno vibe to them. the closest to old school trance seems to be called uplifting emotional orchestral trance and there's plenty out there but it's not played much at big events just the odd tune. Try looking up luminosity beach festival 2015-loads of good sets -darren porter, reorder,john askew. then there's progressive psy- look up rook-goa goa, and zen mechanics, dj electric samuria prog psy is so pure . Ozora festival, boom festival both look amazing.

Ozzora is in hungary(can't be too far) it's psy trance but looks real good. Look up a guy on here called bryant M he's really into uplifting emotional orchestral trance this seems closest to old trance. i will send you a list of artists to look for and some good tunes.

They recently played a B2B set on ASOT, just a few weeks ago. It wasn't as good as this masterpiece of a set though, but still pretty good and most importantly, Armin and Ferry played the tracks they wanted to hear, which makes it a pretty nostalgic set

You guys have no idea how many times I've listened to this mix. I remember playing the transition into Aly&Fila: Eye of Horus about 50 times on my way to Montreal and that was in 2005. It is March 22nd 2013 here and i will be heading to Montreal for the 5th time in less than 18 hours. Wow do i love that city and good music. Thank you so much for sharing and this definitely goes down as one of the best mixes I've ever heard. Soft, hardcore, euphoric, atmospheric... all mixed into one beauty...

I heard this set in 7th grade, I turned 30 recently and I finally found this set. Played it a bunch of times now but the first time being able to hear it again got me shedding a couple tears, beautiful memories I had playing this set with old friends.

I start going to these events at the age of 18 and now I'm 39 and still wanting to go again. I just love the music. Can't help being old but it doesn't stop me from enjoying it. Life is short, Enjoy it...

I guess it's in the blood :-) I should have continue with my sound production when I was at school. I could have be a dj or music producer by now. Instead I choose to leave uni early to make some money for uni fees and never go back from what I loved to do.

I wish I was lucky enough to go to these events back then when Trance was this amazing. Unfortunately I was stuck at home as an Elementary student (10 years old) and had to listen online. I still remember using my birthday/Christmas money to buy the vinyls of these tracks lmao. I still own them too!

Ferry gave me one of the nicest compliments ever ..after doing a stage-show to his set @ Godskitchen UK -that I was his favorite stage performer ..truth was I loved his music and really the Dancers were fine with us choosing certain stage times ..so it was easy to dial in the flash-rate of our E.L [Electro-Luminescent] Suits & Poi Staff & other Aerotech performance toys!

Matti Laamanen - Flakes - the definition of timeless! As good (or even better) than 20y ago. Otherworldly production.

Recuerdo que lo tenia en mi playlist para jugar Counter Strike 1.6 de madrugada. (Cuando el CS era el juego mas jugado) Allá por el 2005-2006 y la ultima era este set. Cuando acababa, era casi siempre las 5AM. Y de ahi .. quedaba dormido. Una de las mejores. Sobre todo la parte de Punk. :D
