Armed Chicago Woman Shoots Man Attempting To Rob Her, Now His Family Is Suing For 10 Million

Ойын-сауық

Off-Duty Chicago Officer Robbed
bit.ly/2CHLudt
The video starts as just another day in southside Chicago. Three people start confronting and trying to attack one guy.
I'm assuming they were making a lot of noise about it because she comes out and confronts them as a mediator of sorts.
Three of the guys walk off a few seconds later while she speaks with the fourth person.
Then out of nowhere, once she turns her back and starts to walk off, this goofball ATTACKS her!
All the reports I read said he was trying to take her gun, and it did seem like that's what he was trying to do until the armed woman WHO told him exactly what she was about to do.
To which he responded, trying to call her bluff, she would have to do it.
Then, as the saying goes, he messed around and found out.
Now let's talk about all the lessons to be learned here in which I talk about in the video:
One: The gun is the equalizer.
Two: Keep a round in the chamber.
Three: Gun control doesn't work on criminals.
Four: The Reality of open carry
Five: Get some type of concealed carry insurance
I say that because even though this woman was not charged with anything, the man's family sued her in civil court for 10 million dollars.
Unfortunately, we live in a society where you can use a gun to save your life, but the family of the person you saved yourself from can turn around and try to sue you into bankruptcy.
So you may beat the criminal case, but you'll still have to deal with the civil.
That's why it's essential to have some type of concealed carry insurance like you get when you become a member of USCCA because you'll not only have access to attorneys to help you with your criminal and civil case, but they'll also cover you for any collateral property damage that may occur during your self-defense shooting
Let's say she missed a couple of those shots and hit a car or a window; with a USCCA membership, you could have all of that covered.
I think USCCA is the best, which is why I work with them, and they do offer my followers special FREE bonuses to become a member with a 365-day money-back guarantee.

Colion. I truly appreciate your videos and your commentary. It's people like you that I will continue to listen to when I move out of leftist NYC in a few years and move to a free state where I can conceal carry and protect myself and my family. I will surely take out insurance when I conceal carry. Thank you.

Well imagine the abuse of power if someone could arbitrarily decide you were NOT allowed to sue whenever it was ‘obviously wrong’ to them. That is why we don’t have those kinds of laws. Would you like Mayor Lightfoot or one of her appointees deciding who can and cannot sue someone? Now, the fact that the family of the deceased thinks this is the right thing to do is another matter.

The 2nd amendment is only for men & specifically white men a majority of the time. There are countless of other instances where women were for some reason not allowed to carry & defend themselves in the face of a threat, all failed by liberal & conservative judges. The 2nd amendment was made by men who owned property at a time where women didn’t own or weren’t allowed to have a thing to their name, & were only allowed to bear arms if the man was ultimately unpresent & it was her duty to protect HIS property. The 2nd amendment needs a lot of amending bc it still fails women like in instances like this. Men chasing down a “threat” can shoot & kill them & get away with it or even gain sympathy & praise but women have harder times having to justify defending themselves & often are told “well what did you do to anger him to the point of threatening you?” Men even have “panic laws” that protect them from killing other men for the crime of being flirted with while women can’t claim panic in court by killing someone after an active physical threat & persistent harassment. The 2nd amendment is needed so everyone can defend themselves, but this is one of many instances where it fails.

I hope the case is tossed AND that the attorneys who brought the suit are stripped of their licenses. But, this is the same city where the Bears left because of safety concerns, where the police have been demonized, where homeless individuals are setting up house INSIDE O'Hare airport and run by a mayor who felt it was appropriate to spend millions in pandemic aid on a black culture display because that was more important. To me that does not seem like a bastion of law, order and commonsense. This is what the citizens wanted and voted for.

You’d be surprised. Criminals would absolutely “try that again” because they not only have severe problems with impulse control, they also have a ton of difficulty learning from their previous mistakes, partly because they possess a false feeling of invincibility, and natural consequences (like getting shot previously) don’t typically change their future behavior. Hence, why so many criminals out on parole wind up back in prison for committing another despicable crime. The criminal’s brain is wired differently than the non-criminal’s brain. It’s this “faulty brain wiring” that is the reason why many of these criminals end up being repeat offenders and, for the life of them, they can’t keep their nose clean and turn their life around EVEN after getting shot and spending several long stints in prison. Their brains simply won’t let them experience and process harsh consequences in the manner in which non-criminals experience and process harsh consequences.

Your country is screwed beyond reason and I'll tell you why. In no sane court, not even here in the Netherlands with our anti-gun laws and liberal judges, would this woman ever get a criminal conviction. Heck, the other day the wife of a jeweler shot 2 armed robbers dead with an illegal firearm, and she was acquitted (with a slap on the wrist for the firearm). The problem in the USA is that you can pretty much sue anyone for anything in civil court. Even if you were acquitted for the same event in criminal court. That is what this officer is facing. And worse: you don't have a "loser pays" system, so even "winning" the court case can cost you your life savings or worse.
