Never heard him speak...always liked his music...and now that he said "success is if the person is happy" ... I salute him even more.

It's nice to see him more humble now, but back in the day he held the reputation as being the THEE BIGGEST douchebag in the dance music scene.

I've been an obsessive fan for over two decades, and this (found randomly touring tracks and mixes) is the first time I have ever hears the voice of one of the most influential people in my life.

Fan since 1999. Great Armand!
Love that he’s playing “good life” in one of those clips. Total banger.
this is the guy that got me hooked to house music in 96 with the Funk Phenomena, my life has been better ever since
He is fantastic. Humble. Brilliant. Kind heart.
Love hearing about his reason for starting to make House music. His track 'You Don't Know Me' was the reason I began making music. Taped it from a Pete Tong show and played it on repeat on my personal stereo on my paper round the next day. Been DJing and making music ever since. Even though I'm still a long way off being a well-known musician (that is to say - you don't know me 😉) I still feel successful just he he says - because this music makes me very happy. Music is the answer. Thank you Armand!
He really is a good guy. Very talented.
That music was part of my youth. What a great time miss it
Did not expect his voice to sound like that at all! For some reason I imagined him having a french accent or something :-).

All my life I thought he was Dutch, turns out he just has a half Dutch dad but was born in the U.S. 😆
Every DJ should pay homage to this guy he did real Sh*t some of the best remixes and some great original music hits of his own too stuff that is still even in 2023 way better than any of the top DJ's music today or even of the last 15-20 years, if you have good taste then you know what I am talking about if your don't then you dont.
This guy is legendary.
Was involved in the scene when he first broke out. Nice to see him still doing it. Good guy.
He referred to other, new DJs with more downloads as the big guys, but this dude is a giant in house music. They don’t exist without him.
Happy for his success and have always loved his music. I went to high school with him and he DJ'd at our school dances; he was cool even then- OLD SCHOOL Aviano! ;)
2future 4u might be the greatest dance album or just album I've ever heard. This guy is a legend to me
Van Helden is the best! Him and (early) Daft Punk were the soundtrack to my teenage years. Great stuff and he comes across really well too
This dude sure knows about animals!
Such a class words ! Man this is masterpeace of what is pure house ! But i found this is same for trance ! SOUL music ! Balls to the wall !!!
One of the legends 🙏
I love this guy, I heard Flowerz in 99 for the first time at a club in Jersey and was in a trans listening to that. That's been my favorite song since 99 up to this day. It never gets old as well as My My My are my favorite 2 top songs of all time.
#WORD I'm always gonna love the AVH!
AVH is one of my musical heroes, thanks for the years of great entertainment my friend peace
New years 2000 armand was in the decks in Montreal for the countdow. Big up still rockin your beats since 99
4:32 This was EXACTLY my experience. I thought house was dumb. Then I went to a house party in a frat house and when i walked in the dj was playing a remix of Prince "I want to be your lover" ABSOLUTE FIRE MIX. Now im a house head for life.
Legendary. I remember finding his remix of Tori Amos professional window I think in 1996 or seven. One of the happiest days of my life couldn’t believe I found it. I think I want a couple copies on vinyl still and I also will randomly play it here and there at parties and it will work so good. Yeah this man is a legend.

I love him even more! First time watching an interview of AVH :)
I feel u brother ✊🏻
Thank you for making this interview, AVN is a legend, big respect!
i guees the DJs are most happy people in our world you know...
AVH is unique because he is a DJ that somehow managed to appeal to heads and the mainstream alike. almost impossible to do. his tracks are cheesy, but incredibly infectious. As an underground dance music dj, i have a few singles of his output, and no matter how deep and obscure you play, his tracks still work. It's a beautiful thing, and I am happy for him.
Great Armand! Yeah!!🔝
music amazing from the soul and so isnt his outlook on life big ups to armand house legend fellow bostonian here just like armand good vibes brother
Rise Boston Mass those were the dopest days I worked with him

I love his tracks and great remixes half of my life and now I know he has a Big Heart ♥. I always remember him as a great remixer who turns every shitty music into a Diamond . One of the best Djs in my life...

Awesome DJ
New York - London - Amterdam! big up A!
DJ Bum life extraordinaire. Ah the Loft after hours. Those were the days. You are still the same chill guy you were when we started together DJing the Loft and remixing for Mega-Mixx and X-Mix productions.
I remember he made the cover of URB magazine. Afterwards he had so much hate calling him a sell out. I still love his music regardless of what people think of him
15 Gigs a year, wonder how much Armand gets paid for each one. Heard this guy gets paid ridiculous amount of money per gig.
