Just got onto Arma Reforger after running across Arma 3 video from some PC players....the game seems fantastic and also is quite daunting for a new player. It does have some laggy spots occasionally, but the maps are absolutely huge... I think one was quoted at 51 square kilometers. 😳 There are many videos out there where people tell you what you can do but do not show you how to. This video has shown me more than the past 6 I've watched, so thanks for that! There's a lot to do/operate in this game and every move you make has consequence. For new players I recommend getting a ride everywhere you go because running everywhere takes FOREVER. Sometimes you get lucky, but most times if you don't get a ride you're running a heck of a lot and for a long time. Also, a lot of people do not know how to fly a helicopter in this game though they certainly try. Everybody's got to learn right? That being said, make sure you've got a competent pilot or driver. Take a wild guess as to how I know... 😅 Leslie, it seems like you get limitless respawning so learn the hard way sometimes but you can come back. Definitely recommend setting a loadout kit that is saved as was mentioned in this video. Huge help. They definitely do not hold your hand in this game at all. A lot of people will not even respond when you ask for helpful tips and there are groups of idiot team killers on here too... Typically at deployment zones.

I was also watching OperatorDrewski's video and because I am a big fan of Bohemia Interactive, and wanted to support them I've bought Reforger back in 2023 and decided to learn the basics and test it out. Unfortunatelly I have to say that my first day was not fun at all because it is very hard to find players who actually use the microphone or discuss tactics. I am mostly meeting people who either don't talk at all, or don't understand how to use the communication. I just hope this will be better the next days. EDIT: didn't take days. 2 hours later I met some people and teamed up with them. We laughed our ass of. Very immersive and fun gameplay if you meet the right people! Also only two servers full in EU Central. The rest is mostly empty. But for a saturday evening, this is really really sad. Thank you for your video mate, it really helps :)

@@riotmaker650 I kept stumbling around for 2 more hours and finally met a group. First they were fooling around and I thought ooof they are some trolls maybe. They've even been somewhat annoying. But they didn't go away, so then we teamed up, and went together for some action. Man it was fun af :) 2h stumbeling and waiting payed off totally paid off. Very immersive and fun!

Thanks, never knew I could turn the radio off. I have a hard time mounting or bracing the weapon on objects consistently. Do you have any suggestions?

Your welcome and I don't believe there is a mounting system, some guns have bipods but there is no mount button

@@riotmaker650 It's in the tutorial. You can brace a weapon against a tree, pole, or on top of a table even if the weapon doesn't have a bipod.

@riotmaker650 if you ADS then click left stick, you should mount your weapon onto a sandbag or table. I can get it to snap to horizontal surfaces, but I have difficulty bracing against vertical objects like a building corner.

I'm not sure, I have the series x and it works find for me. The server crashes sometimes but that's a server issue not the console

No one talks about how I can’t join any servers because it won’t let me get any mods and the content verifications take years

Normally if I have issues with getting mods/if they won't download you can do into the game icon on Xbox menu and clear reserved space. This will delete all downloaded mods but it fixes the download issues at times

Every time I play with a new guy, respawns at the truck, basic loadout.

The mods always take a long time to download regardless of internet speed, also are the mods downloading fully or are they getting corrupted and having a red x mark?

You can go into game master and spawn in bots that will fight you and for you depending on your team. I don't know how to do specific scenarios tho, I don't have much time using the bots to be honest

Most of the time I get 60 fps and that's plenty. Not many games on console can run the full 120

I had to put this at 2x speed

In game the only money system is within the KOTH game mode and arma life stuff. In conflict there is no money system, just a supply's system

Yea, it's tricky asking my friends how to do a certain thing in game cuz they're on pc

For real bro, nice content but the shitok subtitles ruined it for me. I know they're popular (in Arma) because of this other famous Arma YTber, but those subs are for little convos in-game not for a full tutorial where you have to pay attention to what's said. English isn't my native language but even when I don't need the subs all the time, these are so F distracting too. I'll leave a like bcs I'm not an ass... but reconsider the use of these kind of captioning next time, please.

Yeaaah this game is definitely not easy to play, it took me a lot of matches to ge used to the game and learn stuff. In my opinion it's definitely worth learning, because once you do the game because incredible fun and satisfying. Hell let loose is more like a milsim battle style. It's not a bad game but not for me. I like to be able to tweak ever little attachment on my gun and make my equipment personal to me. But thats just me and the game isn't for everyone, I might do another tips and tricks video soon because this one only covers a few things

Same. I've only played a couple matches. The hardest part for me is getting to my team cuz I don't quite understand the spawning mechanic. I'll think I spawned at point x, but somehow spawned at point y. I also have a tricky time with enemy and friendly distinction from a distance.

I cant understand why the mods i install constantly needs to update , reinstall and even dont work properly 😒 😑 such a piss off its not fair that pc version gets better support then console bohemia needs to start treating everyone with respect and dignity and appreciation regardless of keyboard and mouse or controller players

Uh, play the tutorial? Don’t recommend people not to? This game is insanely complicated and the tutorial doesn’t teach you even half of what you need to know. So if you’re trying to learn all of it without a basic understanding it’s going to be much harder and your teammates are going to be mad at you.

I jumped into the tutorial when I first bought this game and spent an hour doing the tutorial that teaches you how to find your location on the map and completely got discouraged from the game decided to try out one of the modded servers on a whim picking the 67 Vietnam serverand quickly found that most of the tutorials stuff was useless bullshit that could be acquired through trial and error or just asking people huge waste of time

@@taylorpennington8126 Yeah you’re right learning how to find your location on the map and navigate and how to use your radio and that enemies can hear prox chat and how to fly a helicopter and what all the buildings do and how to build them and how to bandage and revive teammates in one of the most complicated games to play that’s all useless my bad. Think about how bad the average player is. If you’ve played ARMA before you’re fine but a new person learning the game can benefit a lot. Like how is this even an argument y’all are fucking stupid lmao. Don’t even read instructions just figure it out man instead of spending 10 minutes learning and getting comfortable and acquainted with the game.

This game is absolute dog shit I just installed it today. I tried to play it. I did training then when it came time to match make and load in a match I couldn’t do it at all and couldn’t find a single multiplayer match. All I could play a single player not only that, but if you’re a council player, nothing is explained to you when it comes to using your flashlight and using your gadgets and how they are supposed to be utilized I’ve been gaming with first person shooters on council since I was a little kid, and this has to be the most complicated and complex game to ever play, which makes it absolutely horseshit. I think the balance of complexity to simplicity should be held at loose that game, figured out the balance of just making it the right amount of complex for a new player to still learn and play at the same time, and at least be able to load into a multiplayer match or this game is such bullshit It should’ve never came out for council. This should be a PC only.

Sorry you had a bad experience with the game, personally the game runs fine on console for me and I never had an issue finding a multiplayer match. Plus all the controls/ control combinations are in the settings. But yes this game isn't for most people, it took me quite a few matches to like the game and get used to it. This game has a huge learning curve regardless if your on console or PC so that doesn't make a difference

But in my opinion it's worth learning because when I went back to hell let loose I didn't like the game much. Coming from arma to that game, it felt too clunky and simple, but then again thats my opinion. I definitely get what your saying and I used to think the same, they could definitely make the match making more simple and with the mods, but just give it another try and try to find Darkgru servers and download the mods, it will be a big difference in gaming experience
