Low FPS is caused by CPU not GPU. Changing graphics settings will do shit in most scenarios.

You're crying about 40 frames? I'm here to play with more then 5 frames.

I'm writing this comment to inform you about something very important about arma 3. There are great servers which perform to expectations and optimizing your game can give you a huge fps boost. However particular servers in this game to do not perform as expected and are not able to handle and operate all the players on the server correctly, which results to bad fps. This means no matter what you do if you are in a bad server which is overloading your fps will drop greatly, no matter what specs, settings u have. Just an important note everyone should have in mind if they are not aware already :D

Henry Bourek actually most time game is running as usual , never get banned . Just under some conditions like lots of bombs explosions in same time may cause 0xc0000005 XD

Thx man made my game run from 20-30 fps to 40-60

Add a custom resolution of 1920x820. It's a 21:9 aspect ratio, so you'll get black bars but: Better FoV, less pixels (so more frames), and if your screen is big enough the black bars won't be a problem :)

OMG U SAVED MY LIFE !

Even though this is a year old, change the Shadows to either high+ or disabled because standard uses your CPU instead of your GPU whereas high+ uses GPU.

More data: Resolution scale: directly puts load on your gpu. Task manager on windows can help with tweaking that. texture quality: fills up vram (gpu's extra speedy ram) rarely will you see an improvement over 'very high' Most of the settings under post processing impact gpu performance; The rest: mainly costs cpu cycles.

Thanks for the video I might have to change a couple settings for Arma 3 in order to get above 30fps on multiplayer but because of this I'm running slightly above 30fps on multiplayer and above 60fps on singleplayer

the max frame thing is set to 1000 should i still take it down to 1? also im running arma 3 on 32bit will that change anything?

I would strongly suggest that if you have an SSD to put the game on that SSD. I was getting major stuttering when I had the game on my HDD and when I switched it to my M.2 SSD the game was running smooth.

Nice video, this got me about 10 more fps on my FX 6300 and GTX 1060 3gb setup (16gb ram) I can hold 30 fps on KOTH in the main city of the map now. Used to get 20 and below.

Wow. The launcher setting bit was my problem. Used to average 30. Now I constantly hit 144 FPS

now i did all these and i tried it on a singleplayer server and i was getting 70fps instead of 50 so i decided to try a multiplayer server and i was still locked onto 25 fps... same as before... is there anyway to fix this i have a amd quadcore with hd graphics build in 16gigs of ram 370 r7 4g amd graphics card

I know this video is old but I play with under 10 mods mostly and theyre pretty small, just when i get into towns and a few tank battles, fps will drop under 20 fps. I would mostly get around 60fps, I did about everything in this video, and I went up to about almost 160fps. What changed it drastically though was the VSYNC. That was made a major fps increase. So, thank you a lot for this tutorial and information, and will be gladly to pass it along to others as well.

Hey Admin,please help me. I have a Q8400 2.66GHZ paired with Asus GTX 650 Non-Ti (1GB GDDR5) with 4 GB of Ram. I only play singleplayer,but the FPS is very low. I only got 3-8 FPS. I tried to remove all mods and adding it back but there's no difference. I tried all graphical settings. Either low or Ultra,the FPS is same. Note that I only have my view distance to 1000 meter.
