Awww thank you so much!!
Yes the struggle is real, trying to get people to understand what ambient/ guitar soundscapes are. I really like your sound and your approach, please keep it and your sound going. I say this as a 60 year old man who makes the same sounds, I am always hearing in the nature and my surroundings patterns of sounds. These sounds keep me alive and help me to create my music.

This is insane and I love it , honestly I randomly fell on your KZread Channel and saw this video and was like "wow" , even though I was and still am a huge fan of Heavy Music (metal/trash metal...) I start to get interested by ambiant music and looping stuff and here this is exactly what I've been looking for for months , this is so inspiring and at the same time so relaxing to hear what you do ! Keep going you are really talented !

Thanks for the inspiration Arli!
I love the blend of hi end and cheaper pedals you use. Tony Levin and Jerry Marotta would be proud of that groove
Wow maaaan. so Awesome happy I found this!!!

LOL thats funny! yeah i have to agree with on crinkling :( but cant now.. thanks for the honest feedback!
Wow! Awesome!
That was really cool. I didn't quite pick up how that big bass sound was achieved though which would be awesome to know. I've got a dd-7 pedal I use as a looper for now but that ability to shut them off/on like in the video seems really epic.
I mostly play jazz standards, but I'm interested in exploring ambient guitar playing. This was just a quick overview, but just this little bit helped give me an idea of the possibilities. So, thanks for the vid!

Perfect!
just wow!
Great demo. I really appreciate you taking the time to share it. I do have a question. I really love the percussive sound you are getting by hitting the guitar. Is there anything special you are doing to get that, or is it just the proximity your hand taps the guitar on or near the pickup. Jon Gomm does percussive taps on his guitar, but it is acoustic and he actually has a mic inside the guitar as well as a piezo pickup and another pickup.
@Arliliberman
7 жыл бұрын
hey wow thank you so much! yeaah i took the time to develop and refine this percussive sound (still do) I use and hormonic Generator (HOG2) so i expose some low-end + boster & reaverb so its sound big and dynamic..
I love your work my brother it’s really exquisite what you do and how you put it together a lot more exciting than some of the other people who just do drones, but there’s always a value in that too anyway just would love to talk to you sometime😊

That's outstanding! Amazed by this. Wonderful sound and playing man! Something spiritual here...Love it! Did you use the Fender amp in background? I'm looking for a great tube amp (little combo wattage) to do my basic clean sound and add pedals. What do you suggest? Fender blues junior?

Oh thanks so much man!! i really appreciate your kind words! yeah re amps I'd suggest to save up for a fender twin blackface reissue 65' it's the most flexible amp for pedals in my view :-) instagram.com/p/BFiaMb0CoIu/?taken-by=arliliberman i use 2 (stereo) for my life set up. if you want something smaller maybe go for the Fender Blackface Princeton (simple is best) thanks A

This is fantastic man! I've been playing around with various loop ideas for years on the old RC-50 I've got and love experimental ambient stuff like this. Is there anywhere I could go to look at the various other pedals you've got set up in this?? I'm especially wondering what kind of config you used to be able to create that awesome percussion sound with an electric guitar? Sounds GREAT!
@Arliliberman
6 жыл бұрын
thank you so much!! made my day! percussion: i use staked hum-bakers and i look for the sweet spot to hit the string for the "bass dream " and the "snare" one i found it i just add booster reaverb and a lil bit of low end from my HOG 2 :-)
hey man this is very inspiring for me I am waiting for a full album of this style btw how you loop the infinte pad without hearing the attack ( the beginning ) of the swell

Dope
what pedal do you use to process the percussive sounds? it sounds just amazing! and how is the drone so nicely looped? i often get clips at the end or beginning of the drone. is there some reverb after the loopstation?
this guy is epic!
How did you get the loop to be seamless? When i've tried looping these ambient textures I don't know how to get rid of the clipping that happens when the loop stops and starts at the beginning again... Any help much appreciated!
@DasRightfortyforfo

What I find helps is to make sure you are already playing and hearing the reverb/delay when hitting record for the first time. Otherwise you start with a dry signal and get that classic "restart" clipping.
@jsommer7047
2 жыл бұрын
You know the silent loop proces? It helps a lot. Make first a silent loop for as long as needed. When playing now soundscapes over it they never end/cut Hope that helps
have you used the e-bow with a wah, as an expression pedal? I love doing that...I have a Dunlop 535Q so I can narrow the bandwidth so it doesn't get too bright when the wah is engaged toe down. Give it a go...
simply stunning....how did you get that deep deep base?.....what guitar are you using?.....awesome job Arli, love your style.

Hey dude, awesome playing! Was wondering what loop pedal you use? Once the loop is recorded in logic does it just continue to record? Not sure how to word this question but hopefully you understand and can help me out. Cheers!

I meant to write this on here - How do you get that drone sound with the guitar? Trying to find a way to do it with my DAW or PodHd500x but think I'ma have to buy this pedal.
Awesome man. In what tuning do you play? Standard tuning? That low E string seems pretty loose. Thanks.
