Imagine if the landship in the anime was intentionally plain like the og trailer but slowly gets changes later on in the anime, just like how we upgrade the base in game. Probably my copium but one can hope.

I just realized...that's a lot of hangar space, they actually turned it into a full-on aircraft carrier in the anime, if that space is empty they could effortlessly beat out the biggest carriers IRL in how much craft they can handle. It could be reasonable if Rhodes uses it when helping in a mass evacuation of large populations, it could service multiple aircraft while also using that to set up temporary quarters for civilians and a triage center/hospital depending on the situation. On the bit with the drill...bit, could they retract that thing all the way into the landship? Then that could mean that the indoor drill bit shot might be it being housed inside. Lastly, Perfumer's Garden, artificial lights that can replace the actual sun and simulated outdoor scenery is probably the way they did it. It makes sense for them since they are moving, and they can go into different climates, and there's also the Catastrophe problem, that room and the plants inside would have a hell of a time trying to survive all that. But honestly though, I thought Perfumer's Garden would be like a sort of greenhouse-y thing that's several standard rooms long that can have people hang out comfortably, not the giant dome with a small forest inside like jesus that's huge. Also, how did they even want to deal with making it a dome? It's not a space efficient shape to use when everything else is some variation of cube. In the Rhine Lab manga, it looked like Rhodes is ludicrously big, on one of the first pages, it shows Rhodes being resupplied by multiple semi trucks with cargo containers, the ramp they take up into Rhodes if more than enough for a comfortably wide two-lane road for those cargo trucks, you could probably cram 5 of them side to side on the ramp. Rhodes in the manga apparently also has enough space that shuttles are needed for quick long-distance travel through the landship. It's big enough to have roads in at least the cargo section and big enough main hallways that shuttles can move around in other sections, and big enough for whole-ass cargo trucks to look like worms. Also, I looked at your videos on the Minecraft project of yours, and I saw you saw the estimation post. The Nimitz has 6000 crew. Rhodes is several times larger. Depending on how Rhodes works, your 10k crew estimate may or may not be a lowball or something in the middle. For storage, Rhodes probably has an entire section that looks like a cargo port, so as one of the comments said: need more storage. Good luck with the project. Also, fairly certain this project could become an exercise for actual masochists if you decide to make a Rhodes able to actually handle 10k crew minimum in not just crew quarters but also in facilities...in Minecraft...in that case I wish you even more luck.

Wow that's a lot of insight. Everything you said is pretty much spot on for what I'm thinking too. Oh my God I didn't know about the Rhine lab manga. I'm going to need to check the whole thing, cause they actually show the back! Funny thing is that the 10k crew is totally low-balling it. I'm not even close to half way done and the required dormitories can easily and comfortably fit in the space. However, I do think that even if Rhodes has the capacity for let's say 10 times the crew so 100k, they would probably only have about 10k employees max at any given time on the Landship due to just manpower issues. I just have to make sure we have the required amenities for that amount of people outside of housing. :)

They make it look like a aircraft carrier instead of a mobile medical facility and way do it have a runway we don't even have fighter jets the only thing we have is helicopters and vetol aircraft

Helicopter Carriers have more or less the same flight deck layout. Just shorter than full size aircraft carriers. Just look at the JS Kaga and Izumo.

4 elevators sounds good to me. As for the convalescence garden and the strange windows of the dorms, I kinda figured that since they already have all this live feed tech that there’s actually a bunch of fake windows around the ship so it feels more... home-y I guess? Less like the ship is a giant hunk of metal. Of course you can’t do that in Minecraft, and paintings on light blocks are out of the question since you’re keeping entities to a minimum, so... As for the curtains, I can’t remember if white banners are considered entities or not, so perhaps white glass panes? Technically those are much more see-through but they’d probably approximate the shape the best.

Good editing! I like the anime's landship but the one we know is def better. I think adding the 4 elevators would be good. Not sure but maybe white banners could work as curtains? For the garden I assume it's some sort of artificial light coming through glass to give the illusion of sunlight coming from the outside. For the dorm, I wonder if black or gray glass could work? Something that blends in and doesn't stick out too much when viewed from the outside.

The carrier style deck doesn’t make sense on RI because they have it painted up with a landing trap, but there only seems to be a single digit number of full sized aircraft on terra and all of them seem to be VTOLs

yeah... actually I was a bit disappointed with the landship I thought it would be somewhat bigger and there would be places like for food cultivation and animal husbandry on an industrial scale Because I think that Rhodes Island is like an independent country that is self-sustaining Which can produce all the needs needed by the country with production from the country it self

Wait, we have a *landing strip???* We never even launch a damn fighter off the damn thing Also, i knew it Our Landship is basically the "Kapisi" that we have back home Here's hoping Terra isnt burning, unlike a certain desert planet.

Window theory: there's a mechanism to seal the window with metal over it from the outside. Would make sense if travelling through rough areas or the city coming under attack.

Maybe the windows get covered up by some sort of wall mechanism when not in used?

Yeah I've seen it, I'm thinking of taking inspiration from it. Maybe I won't do a full analysis, but if I use something I like from it, I can include it. The exterior in his render is extremely accurate, even more so than the Landship in the anime. The only thing he added that doesn't exist is the command room window area when he transitions to the outside. His scale for the Landship is also smaller and more inline with the reference images

Maybe the model of the landship has evolved since the Anime?

My thoughts exactly the instant I saw Rhodes... I was like... so underwhelming! So small, so wrong, so little details! And something tells me the director thought so as well, since they have shown very little of the Ark in the show. You know, the Ark which names the whole game!? So yeah, I hope they fix that mess in future seasons.
