Yes, this is the best Fasolasuchus taming video! Why? Because he takes his time to really understand what is best and then makes a quality video. It’s not always about who makes the first video… That’s one of the reasons Nooblets is the best Ark KZreadr!

I have a rhyniognatha from a previous map so it was easy for me to move the Faso where I need too!! On of the high cliffs there is tons of crystal and obsidian! I just build a wall around the edge using walls and pillars (no foundations) as the walls won’t knock you off. Tamed it supper fast this way!

Id make a suggestion on this which is to set up way points before you tame them, leave them at 1,2,3 etc and avoid the oasis with any ruins or water veins as those will both dismount you. Out in the desert is plenty of salt only deposits and are usually spaced about 500 meters from one another. Also carry a sleeping bag as it's quite common for it to ko on top of you lol

This guide is really good, but I do want to add the point about de-aggros: the (little) experience I've had doing this, I found that even on foot, the fasalo de-aggros in around 30 seconds as long as it doesn't hit you. I would strongly recommend that you *avoid* wild dinos, because then once it does lose aggro on you it will attack everything else, and it takes longer for it to go back underground so you can start to KO it again a little faster. I am absolutely prepared to get eviscerated for this, this is just what I found whilst doing this myself.

I knocked out a 135in about 15mins after several failed attempts going through hundreds of grenades. Something I want to point out during my attempt on the 135 is that I noticed an increase in torpor when hitting rocks when I was about to lose control or while I was at a higher speed (either from going downhill or not hitting something for a bit). That said I started with salt nodes by the arena and went North towards blue ob from there once out of salt I stuck to large groups of stone/bone along the edge right before completing the bend that brings you to blue ob. Hope this can help someone because taming these things are what nightmares are made of lol.

I will also say if you have server transfer enabled, you can bring a Rynio over to pick the fasalo (not sure if quetz can as well). With that in mind should I do the Salt strat or should I take a fasalo to metal/crystal nodes?

Would advise anyone trying to tame a Fasolasuchus to bring a ranged weapon. If you fall off a Faso when trying to escape and the Faso aggros onto something else the Faso has a tendency to not directly face the creature it is attacking and ends up missing entirely, so it might be up to you to kill the creature its fighting. I say ranged over melee, as getting too close will cause the Faso to redirect aggro to yourself, and you may have to defend the Faso from Arthropluera that can cause recoil damage.

I speak from 6+hours of experience prep, ghillie armor and the resources to repair it, and bring LOTS of grenades because odds are you WILL get dismounted if its a high level, anyways It seems the amount of torpor generated by rocks is determined by two things 1 size and 2 rock type, the 1 is self explanitory, as for two its seems the more rare resource the rock is the better the list of best to worst probably goes something like Metal rock Salt rock Obsidian(probably) Normal Sand rock Smol rocks Seriously tho if you find a 150 wait till it submerges kill surounding creatures and mark spot for later, craft like 40+ grenades and do a practice run on a weaker one, work out the kinks

Someone please convince me that it’s even worth it to tame one of these. I tamed one, it took forever, and it hasn’t done me much good. I’m on singleplayer so maybe that’s why it’s not useful for me, but a Rex is wildly better to me. The only argument would be travel I think. But. Argy is better. The sand trap is janky and I never use it. Flint maybe. But eh. I’m just a bit disappointed with it, and that I spent forever doing it.

Honestly. I know the fasalos are pretty good mounts, but this just feels a bit over the top for the amount of work you have to do to get one.... doubtful but it would be nice if wildcard increased the amount of torpor they gain from things like rocks etc to make it just a little bit easier to tame - even on private servers it seems a bit pointless

So it takes a long time to ko it and another long time to tame it!! Imagine taming a 150 lvl

I'm trying to tame a level 550 one my God this sucks balls I wonder what settings to change so the torpor is more effective?

I tamed a 150 today doing exactly this, the salt deposits in the dunes, even with the argy following. Went wonderfully but definitely struggled with find salt towards the end. Also wish I’d brought 20 grenades instead of 10, it was way too close a call in the end. Thing came out with 419 melee post tame, seems insanely high for post tame.

I think they would do that only if they release a new map with alot of new dinos. These 1 off creatures will always have a gimmick to them.
