I think that it’s just his “consciousness” so to speak. Rockwell retained his intelligence and mind when he injected himself with element. (Granted Rockwell didn’t have much of a mind left when he did that, but that’s beside the point). Maybe we here his actual voice ( David Tennant for Rockwell is awesome by the way, suits Rockwell perfectly), because he found a way to communicate just with his soul, or essence, or whatever it is in Ark. Or maybe he is speaking electronically through some device, and maybe he fashioned it so that it would put out his voice.

We see aberration Rockwell in the trailer so I’m sure he’ll still make the same sounds as before, but he is spreading himself through the ship and becoming the colony ship. Does make sense to have his consciousness or what little of humanity he has left to communicate with us.

I love Gareth's music. "Ori and the Blind Forest" is one of my favorite soundtracks, and Gareth's style shines through in Ark, too. Especially in the Island's snowy combat music. He uses some similar sounds to the theme from the Forlorn Ruins in Ori.

Just the way he says "survivor" at the end, it gets me every time. That's how this all started, just trying to survive. Now we're here. Its been a good journey.

It's been a hell of a ride. I remember when the island was barely trees and sand. And now we're at a time of bio organic Eldritch monsters, fantasizical creatures, godcraft, philosophy, and David Tennant. I've watched this game grow and develop for years now and I am sad and happy to see the story come to a close. All I can say is that ark will always be a timeless classic for me. A perfect representation of things I love in a game. A story with twists and turns that leave me in awe. Thank you.

I've got thousands of hours in this game, and not all were happy. I've had the game since just before the Center. I've invested hundreds of hours in the lore, explored every nook and cranny one all the maps (except Genesis, can't afford it). Tamed everything you can tame. It's been one hell of a ride, and although it is sad to see the story finally come to an end, I'm glad that the game exists.

I love this game but let's tell the truth we may have creatures that bring madness in the mind of man but it's still as buggy as the day it got released (and I love it for this)

This trailer don't fell like trailer to game anymore, it feels like trailer to movie and I love it. I can't belive that this all started as one game, where you were just simply taming dinosaurs. This...this is awesome and I love it. Now it isn't just a game with dinosaurs, but also a whole new universe with epic, mysterious, catching story about future of mankind

This is a cinematic trailer and not a gameplay trailer, genesis part 1 had this too. We will probably get actual gameplay teasers later just like last year with genesis part 1. Maybe even this stream, not sure though because I didn’t watch the charity stream last year

I really adore the voice acting done here, in the beginning, Rockwell seems friendly and soft-spoken, and sounds pretty happy to show you around, like how he used to be, and then he slowly gets progressively more and more unstable, angry, and psychotic, especially at the mention of Helena, I mean, he sounds so upset as he says "HEEEER", I wonder if he misses her? or maybe he just hates her *shrug* Besides this is Rockwell, Rockwell doesn't regret shit Also, has anyone else noticed that when Rockwell's voice turns dark and twisted, you can still hear the original voice echoing?

So this is a summary: Rockwell took over the spacestation. It is a giant halo like thing that has rings with that work like arks: they contain ecosystems and life. Now that he took over the control he is creating his own creatures, for example those eyeball things (and I think the Saber and head eater too). He wants to spread his life, his will over the universe and now sends this vessel somewhere in outer space prob to colonize other planets with his life

Sounds accurate. I was thinking after extinction, Helena and the others brought all of life in this ship to keep safe from Rockwell’s corruption, but he stowed away here and started corrupting it and taking control. He says he’s setting destination where his will shall spread across the cosmos forever. If I were to guess, he’s setting a course for the origin home of element for which he will have enough strength for universal domination.

The feline creature first reminded me of those panther thingies from Avatar. Then I thought sabertooth, or thyla, mixed with a velonasaur xP

@@rockwell5960 the gateway project was the portal area on aberration. The whole ascension on aberration was the gateway project since the entire original ascension system on ab I was fucked up by Diane who blew up the entire overseer station.

I just need to say. I've never been excited for an ARK trailer. But this trailer. This trailer is delving into the story and lore of the game which does greatly interest me, along with having David Tennent voicing it. I would love to see more focus on the story of ARK, because honestly, from what little I know, it's damn interesting, but not much is shown as it wasn't intended as a story focused game.

wdym “more focus” on the story of ARK, the entire game is literally based on the story and there’s tons of explorer notes on every map

@@wasabimir952 It's fairly self explanatory. It looks like they're increasing their focus on showing the story rather than mostly leaving notes to read and leaving it at that. You can make a game based on a story of course, but explorer notes shouldn't be the primary way for players to discover it. That and most if not all past trailers have not been like this one, they were far more PVP based, mostly shot ingame, etc. For reference, I have found and read many notes, hence why I said the story seemed very interesting, I just want more of it to show in forms other than notes. Genesis felt like they began dipping their toes in that, this trailer feels like they're diving in.

@@domzalski3722 Helena? Maybe, but not Mei Yin. They escaped the Arks hundreds of years before we ever lived on them. Mei Yin is almost certainly quite dead.

But Helena is a Homo Deus and she was the one who made it so we could respawn on the Arks and brought Diane back to life to help Mei Yin journey to Arat Prime after extinction. I don’t see how Helena couldn’t keep bribing them back to life even after dying. Who knows maybe Mei Yin becomes a homo deus too.

Looking back on this trailer, I really wish they'd done more with HLNA missing in the beginning

I finished the game on my own and I found that the end was touching and sad at the same time bravo to the whole ark team thank you for making us live this magical adventure and even if the DLC are released late, it does not matter thank you ❤️❤️❤️

this is probably my favorite trailer that wildcard has put out, David Tennant's speech along with the soundtrack with the visuals is chilling

Extinction: DLC: I offer you an amazing boss who is super strong and reward you with an awesome conclusion on the ARK Storyline David Tennant: Hold my beer I got goosebumps when i heared this voice. It's incredible who good he impersonates Rockwell and his insanity. Which really got me was when he was referring to Helena "that shadow of HEEEEERRRR" with this much desperation. Can't wait to see more of him

Every time I watch this, I just miss the feeling of completing every map and every DLC for the first time, the story is truly beautiful, hope it stays like that in ARK 2, can't wait to play that as well.

@@hoover6291 The AI is Rockwell. That was his avatar inside the simulation. There were 5 master AI for each biome but he deleted all but Moeder who shut herself down before she could be erased.

This ship is literally two Halo ringworlds attached to a giant fucking ship. I fucking love this. I love it even more having grown up with the Halo series.

I feel like a mode where your in early access ark would be really fun. Old map, creatures (old models if they can get a hold of them), etc. Man, my nostalgia levels would be through the roof

So far, the map looks like it may be the most innovative yet. It appears to incorporate elements of extinction’s sanctuary and sunken forest, but with their own fantastical feel. Also, it appears as though we may be able to explore the actual colony ship outside of a cutscene, judging by the fact that the survivor appears to be fighting Rockwell as well as some sort of new creature on board part of the colony ship. I have absolutely no clue what Wildcard has in store with this new map, but I can’t wait to find out!

I love the aesthetics of the space station, it’s an interesting blend of nature, technology and eldritch horror. Also, at 1:04, did that tiger-fish thing just decloak itself from camouflage, or did Rockwell just create it from nothing? Because the former is cool and the latter is mildly terrifying.

If u go bak a few seconds before it even appears you can see its paw prints on the grass before it goes over the gap so id assume it decloaks

@@queen-ks6mz yeah I like Rockwell’s innards area. I’m assuming this is where most of the story missions take place and the path to Rockwell himself. I’m also assuming that giant eye alien is probably a mini boss, with low gravity seeing that the whole in the ship might be causing it and maybe even a way to defeat by sending it into deep space.
