Starting violin at the age of 5, Arjana was brought up in the classical music tradition through New England Conservatory's prep school with years of private instruction in the greater Boston area and participation in orchestras and string quartets. While pursuing her Bachelor of Music at NYU, she became part of Inca Son: Music and Dance of the Andes as their violinist for 10 years, including a tour of Peru.
Arjana has lent her violin and viola skills to numerous projects across the genres such as country, a neo psychedelic rock band, folk, singer/songwriters' original projects, collaborations and workshops, and tribute and top 40 rock bands on land and sea. Now incorporating her instrument as a featured part of many Gingernsap tunes, she uses her five string electric violin in much of her own jazz based projects.
Available for solo violin, string quartets or violin/piano for wedding ceremonies or special events, Arjana is equally versed in sheet music and improvisation alike, adding a musical, organic, unexpected level to various ensembles. Contact us below for bookings for events or collaborations.
