To be honest, the offsides with three minutes left was the ball game really, that play was a get out of jail free play. USC had to throw the ball in the end zone with no fear despite the low competition percentage which is something you can not do on a normal 4th and 13th.

Though my team is from Big 12, every conference deserves a chance to play. It's nice to see you guys finally getting to play some.

As a USC fan idk how we can win any of the games, on our schedule, after such a horrible performance. On the other hand, SC doesnt need to play good they just have to tell Drake London to go stand in the end zone and throw it him on every third down. Also refs can do their best but couldn't stop SC from wining this.

Graham doesn't want to add plays if our wrs just get open an do work will win our passing defense played great but we couldn't stop the run especially from Jayden running but this was the toughest game on the schedule.

@@DreDay53 IDK, graham always simplifies the play book for the first game of the year, so he doesn't confuse anybody. If you think about it this game wasn't even half of graham offense. No bunch of different formation, no different type of screen pass or pitch pass, mike leach forward pitch, chip blocks sneaking out a tightened, etc. He just did one jet sweep and the few plays that he has where you read the defender (you the play Michael Pittman scored at Oregon on a 3rd). Graham really takes that simplicity method to heart and is big on excursion can fix everything. Did the same during Fresno State and open up the play book progressively after that.

Give it till week 3, I mean it's the first game of the season, kickoff is at 9am, and we have just totally redone our defensive staff, and on top of all that, we only had 3 weeks to prepare for a team that has had moths to prepare. If we keep playing like this after about 2-3 weeks, then us fans should be concerned.

Why did usc offensive coordinator wait till 5 mins left in the game to throw the ball down the field. All that cute little throws reminds me of kiffin. We all know what happened to him 😂 power run and deep shots is how usc plays don’t over think it 🤦‍♂️

Man this was a heartbreaker. We were so close to pulling the upset 😢

It wouldn't have been an upset. That W could have gone either way. Besides, Oregon, SC and ASU are the at the top of the Pac12. This result was expected.

'SC played like that suffered from bi-polar today. On one hand they were sloppy as heck, on the other hand they made brilliant plays. Chalk that up to first game struggles, good job USC, Fight on!

@@kingkanyon 'SC is where's it at at the moment, it would be insane to do a coaching change at this part of the season, look back 8 weeks ago how sloppy the NFL was. 'In the end, SC beat ASU with raw talent, hopefully the AD will not waste that talent going forward...

@@lawrencemora2862 USC has been Sloppy for years. The coaching change should've happened this offseason. I like Clay but he has been trending downward in recruiting and with All the Talent he's had over the years he's yet to have a dominant Defense. Those are alarming issues. USC will never win a National Tittle under Clay Helton, Pray that I'm Wrong Because he deserves it.

Why is USC ranked? Barely squeaking a win against a middling AZ State? USC has been mediocre to bad for like a decade now. Give that rank to someone who deserves it.

ASU should be very concerned about their secondary, with a regular season coming up with teams having all of their players available it's going to be a hundred percent different, teams are going to take heavy advantage of ASU's prevent defense and it will be ugly.

In all honesty, good luck stopping USC receiving core! They always have starters for the NFL playing, usually 3 on the field at a time. Your best chance is to get the QB to make a bad read and miss throws.

Still salty about this game as an ASU fan. So many odd decisions with regards to officiating in this game, and then to cap it off with the questionable onside kick attempt at the end. Still pains me a week later. A loss is a loss though.
