That'll be a nice memorable trip in God's beautiful creation! I love that country. It's all about the journey together.
A major blessing being with your son doing what you love.
A wonderful video of you and your son trying very hard to bring home a lot of meat for your freezer. Even tho there was nothing to shot at, the time together is so valuable. Your son will never forget this trip. Time together is the most important thing and I'm sure he will realize that. Deep family love is built on precious Time and Concern for each other. And so you both had a very successful hunt. Thanks
My dad was not a hunter but I come from a family of hunters on my mom’s side. It is a tradition that many of my cousins grew up with and do with their children (and grandchildren) now. I commend you on forging these relationships with your kids. You are teaching them valuable skills that will only benefit them in life! Thanks for taking us along! ❤
making memories
Thanks for sharing. Many of my customers hunt. A friend just got 3 deer in IL and several antelope here in NM. His freezer is bulging.

Now that's what being a father is all about ❤
I grew up hunting this unit with my dad. I like the unit on the other side of the highway (keeping the area in anonymity for the both of us). Good memories. I was just up there a couple weeks ago, the first elk hunt since he's past, harvesting a cow elk with his rifle and wearing his old fur trapper hat. Felt like he was there.
Great video!! Logan you did a great job hanging in there, sorry you weren’t able to find one, great effort!!
Awesomeness
I have been on plenty of Elk hunts just like that here in Colorado, while the disappointment of not filling the tag is a bummer, the trips always have a great story. Like finding bear and Mt Lion tracks, hiding in the rocks in a snow storm. Bravo taking your son hunting. As we always say here, we'll get em next year. Never quit, that when it all lines up and it will happen. 🦌👍
Special memories that last forever ❤
Logan will always remember this father/son elk hunt for years to come. It was neat when Logan climbed down into the cave to peer over the edge to the 'floor' and then look across to look through the opening in the rock and see the snow falling. Blesings to you.
Yes, father / son time is awesome when hunting...
So good to see a young man being trained up right !
Great to see you teaching your son! Love it. 🫡
Elk..the best wild game ! One of the hardest to find...
Great story at the end. It was nice to see the journey you guys went on and in life things dont always work out as planned however the effort builds for something else. thanks for sharing
🙏😊🙏
What you said at the end about being with your son is more precious than Gold. Amen to that.
Yeah, my feet get freezing, too...I feel for the kid...
Bear tracks !
Great to see you both out together.❤
Loved the video 😘👍🏻💕🙏🏻🙏🏻
I found my elk in the mountains, of N.Idaho in much more deciduous trees wooded area..
Thanks for the video friends, nice bird song ☺
❤loved the video, brought back great memories. Maybe you should have gone in your backyard lol.probably the season wasn’t open in that county. I’m 85an have had many trips were we got 0. I guess that’s why they call it hunting .Wonderful time with your son.
My Self Reliance has a video on building his Root Cellar build. May can give you some pointer.
I've been wanting to try warming socks...
And my dad got a moose even farther North up by Canada, in Idaho...
Way up there surprised u don't see mountain goat...
Now this is a fantastic video. Your son did not look happy....But time in the field and patience and he will be successful
Good morning you guys hope you guys are having a wonderful day and keep up the good work and on be safe out there today and make sure your bottle up cuz it's cold out there all right guys have a great day and God bless you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
sprinkle some cayenne (red) pepper in your shoes and your feet will stay warm. works wonders!.............g start out slowly until you see how much it takes for each person!.......g
Logan, Elk hunting is a journey, not a sprint. You will be successful and the joy of the journey will be with you until you take your son for his first hunt.
Nice video
That’s a black bear track.
Around here I see a lot of bear, deer, and coyote tracks mixed in with the occasional mountain lion track. I've seen the first three right up to within feet of my house, but so far no mountain lion tracks within a half mile of my house. I'm really careful with my trash so as not to allow for smells which might attract unwanted visitors.
On these late season hunts in az if you haven't see any sign the animals have migrated to lower elevation .
🦌😩👍
Better luck next time hunting
Fan of your family. Fan of your channel. Not a fan of hunting. All my exes were hunters. I remember one of them waxing on about the “free meat” he had in his freezer. ‘Free?’, I said, “What about the $800 you just spent on that new rifle? How much exactly does your one third share of the deer hunting lease cost? How much was your round trip airfare to get to the lease?” We lived in Dallas; the lease was in his hometown of Houston. “Free” my butt.

It can be very expensive. Not denying that. But it's a great experience to have, especially with loved ones. Thanks 🙂
Looks like a bear cave...
Priceless!

Ditto
Put deodorant on the bottom of your feet, that will keep them dry. And your feet won’t get cold.
Get information from a guide on how to hunt for Elk .
I like your channel and I wish you well but I don't think a kid that young should be holding a gun
