Thank you Professor Thorsby! We are doing a close reading of Aristotle as our philosophy reading group moved online and this lecture was a huge help to us for Book VII of the metaphysics.

great analysis and explanation. Really helps structure Aristotelian concepts, especially on the first read. The enthusiasm keeps the energy high as well, extremely interesting stuff.

Thank you Mark - this was really helpful. I also tried to do a mindmap to trace the search Aristotle is on in Zeta. One difference I had though is that Definition is made up of an Account with Parts (which defers from your map that says an Account is a Definition with Parts). If this is something you're still engaging in, do you mind talking about why you have your map situated that way?

The Account is it the semantic representation of the thing, the being? It means "words"?

"If you haven't seen our earlier videos you should go back and review them to remind yourself of the content" This is not possible. You can't review what you have not seen before. Aristotle would be upset :)

Is it not "lexical", instead of "lexiconal "?
