This is an amazing recourse. I'm finding Aristotle very tough to crack. Going through the text along side me is everything I've ever wanted in my Aristotle course so thank you so much

Thanks. I am not on board with the explanation of Metaphysics, though it is quite famous, as given by a librarian. Aquinas has also been credited with coining Metaphysics upon speaking of Aristotle's work. Whatever the case, Aristotle's words and works, such as the seed of an oak tree, become an oak tree through the four stages of cause and effect. Metaphysics ( meaning from or after nature /physics ) is evident throughout his work. The word is very much misused as a supernatural world and mind experience when, in truth, it is grounded in nature and science rather than an opposition to it and intended as a response to Plato's forms. The word existential is also very much stamped on everything, unlike Parmenides' philosophical thought. ,

This is a very good course. I have been waiting for something like this. Some instructors fly too high. To do philosophy you have to struggle in 'the weeds'. There is no getting around it. And, Aristotle is difficult, requiring such an approach.

1. Talk fast, dense. Reading Aristotle is not for kids. 2. Dont repeat yourself 3. Do not explain the obvious 4. Tell us the bigger picture and especially remain critical 5. Reduce irrelevant comments and long intro.
