That's why it should not exceed the MEAN or Median Income range of the area the child lives. So if the MEAN is $60K for a family, and the MEAN is $100K, then the $100K value should be the amount the government use to calculate Child Support.

The worst part is that one parent will fight for sole or majority custody, just to get a paycheck off the kids. I think it should just be equivalent to their necessary expenses. They’re in private school and have activities, great they get more...they’re in public school and their after school activities are free, great the get less...they need special meds, great they get more...all their meds are covered by one of the parent’s insurance, great they get less. One parent wants to put some money away in a trust, great that’s not mandatory and shouldn’t be considered support. Simple.

I love how vlad says it’s only 50k per child like it’s a few hundred bucks. Registered Nurses make that a year and pay student loans on top of that lol

Idk where you live but where I live registered nurses make around 80-90k and I’m sure! It cost a whole lot more to fund those kids lifestyle than 50k a month
