Aries was right and wrong. He made some valid points about Vlad but in the context of the convo they were having, he was wrong. It’s like saying something right to justify being wrong about something else. Off-white was literally the top luxury brand in the world a couple years ago. It beat out all of the top brands. Black people who are of the younger generations and are outside love fashion and if you’re into fashion then you know off-white. Plus, off-white catered to hip-hop. It’s name is a reference to cocaine/crack. Honestly, you can argue that Vlad at least knows hip-hop culture better than some black people because he’s been in the middle of it for decades.

I’m a black man and a successful working DJ! I’ve “heard” of Off White but NEVER EVER seen them until this show. I’m not a huge fan of Aries (I like him just not that much into his work for simply because I haven’t watched any of his stand ups) but I have to agree with him 1 million percent! And I’m in Ohio 🤣🤣🤣

These are the only type of VladTV interviews I can tolerate. Well done 👏 Aries. If the person on camera isn't questioning and challenging Vlad, it's not worth the watch. Aries is right. Most people haven't heard of off-white. I became aware of Off-white BECAUSE OF Kanye and talk around his anti-blackness. Off-white is a clothing line that was ran by a Nigerian American man who worked creatively WITH Kanye. One part of the controversy is the models Off-white hired for its advertising. The models casted were specifically mixed race or WHITE. The other controversy was the Nigerian American dude Virgil had a 95% white staff. Off-white was never really marketed to Black people and the look is dull/average. Therefore it makes sense Black people have never heard of it.

@underablackgaze Virgil (RIP) was of Ghana heritage. But you right off white was mostly targeting middle class suburban (read white) under 30 year olds. I’m 36 and I know about off white but that’s only cause I’m fashion conscious and I pay attention to stuff like that. Off white hasn’t reach that inflection point yet where by every hood knows about it

Virgil was a black Streetwear designer who evolved from working w Kanye on early projects, to Pyrex to off white to LV….his designs were catered to YOUTH CULTURE which is why y’all haven’t heard of him prior to his death if you’re over a certain age. But let’s not bash a black man who was able to get into that all White industry and be successful before he passed. Y’all Do understand that Kanye was not given that same opportunity….should tell y’all something

I never heard of Off-White until I went to school for fashion design in 2017. Not too sure I would have heard of it if it wasn’t for me taking fashion design

Aries was basically saying that you would have to be a black person in a certain tax bracket to know what "Off white" is or where to buy it. I've heard of it, but I wouldn't know where to buy it or care to buy it. It doesn't appeal to the average black person living pay check to pay check.

Off white isn't that expensive. It's kinda a medium level clothing brand. I've never bought anything from them though. Not really my style.

I'm a black man, and I have only heard of off-white this year. The man who created it was dead when I heard about it, and that was just this summer. I don't even believe I've ever seen a pair of sneakers or any type of clothing from the individual. So Vlad doesn't know what he's talking about. And Aries Spears hit it right on the head. The average black person. Glad is speaking about black people in entertainment business. They are privy to all of this fashion stuff. And like Aries Spears says, glad likes to think he has his finger on the post of black culture. Anyone who is really in to Black culture, would understand that we all don't know about everything that's high end.

I heard of Off /White after he died. And it was Posted on KZread. I am a 66 year old black guy. Never heard of him until then. RIP dude.

Me too I learned of off white like 3 years ago watching Power on Starz but most of the comments saying they haven't heard of it are older generation people no offense just saying at some point in time you lose touch with what's up to date nothing wrong with that but it does happen but I'm am in shock so many haven't heard of Virgil!!!
