I don’t think this particular issue relates to equality. He made a “joke” in poor taste when the interviewer only asked what he thought of Lizzo’s music. He could’ve easily uplifted her and I guarantee you his own looks wouldn’t have been attacked. Two wrongs can never make a right, however, if you publicly attack someone during an interview because of their appearance when you are not conventionally attractive yourself, expect some backlash. And definitely expect people to judge your appearance. There are way too many generalizations concerning men and women. The bottom line is, neither gender is perfect and both are very problematic.

I think the difference is that those jokes were said on a stage, during a set. They were jokes. Perhaps they are in poor taste, but there’s a difference between making a joke during your set and then disrespecting another artist during an interview. He was asked about her music and instead of answering the question, he immediately attacked her appearance. Most comedians joke about dark subjects, but good comedians know that there is a time and a place for said jokes. Idk. Just my opinion lol.

I like his take, he says he commends the confidence, he commends the people coming together to make eachother feel beautiful but at the end of the day it is unhealthy to be overweight, risk factors can arise like heart failure and diabetes, you can literally LOSE OUT ON LIFE for being overweight I already have several examples from my own life of obesity causing problems yet I don’t even have obesity. A coworker who I work with recently got diagnosed with diabetes from weight gain and I could tell it nearly broke him, he has been acting differently and I can tell this has in a way hurt his mental health. Along with this I work as a coach for motorcycling and obviously we encourage all too try but I’ve found heavier set people tend to STRUGGLE with the course and due to some of the physical features of both motorcycles and the course I’ve had students technically fail due to their weight and health… they missed out on a life changing experience At the end of the day, yes, what people are doing is good and it is helping people accept their bodies more but it should be seen as a temporary coping mechanism and not a permanent one: we should be praising someone who is obese as beautiful still and that they do not deserve bullying but also encourage weight loss as well and not demonize it Only the ignorant see in black and white; in which, this issue/solution is definitely a shade of gray

With the latest Aries Spears developments, let's see if vlad continues to post clips if this interview, especially since it seems like they're both having a great time. 😂😂😂

If Lizzo wasn’t famous she’d be on someone’s Facebook reels getting dogged by all those same people that’s taking up for her for the shit she wears, society makes fun of regular heavy set girls all day and it seems to never be a problem, it’s crazy how hypocritical society is about shit. Not gonna say whether or not Aries was out of pocket for his comments in the original interview that went viral. What I will say is that as someone who doesn't follow too many current artists, I'm more familiar with Lizzo's antics (showing off her body in public and/or online just because or chasing after famous male figures or crying online about 'hateful comments' whenever she does something that basically puts a target on her back for ridicule) than her actual music career.

So we’re just gonna act like those accusations didn’t come out about him and that little boy??? Like everything still normal??? Uh…. Okay.
