Holy shit. This is me, and the theme of my life for three years since leaving a LONG-ASS relationship in which I almost stayed as a sacrifice out of love and devotion for that person despite screaming inside to get out and chart my own path of glory. I keep nearly falling into relationships that I simultaneously thirst for and feel so naturally compelled towards AND covertly resist and sabotage and feel ultimately deeply unfulfilled by. I'm single now and have been taking the shaky steps toward becoming the bad ass mofo I've always felt I am deep down. Wish me strength!

Wow Alyssa! You nailed it (N. Node Aries in 5th). I have been totally unable to find my own identity and path due to trying to please everyone else. I ask people to tell me how I am and what my strengths are because I can't seem to see them clearly and I never gave it (or myself) much thought. That's what a sidekick feels like, huh? lol

Everything fell apart, nothing is working out when I attach plans to other people, I’ve had this deep need for others to support me my whole life, and now it’s time to strike out on my own. Taking a long road trip with my daughter next week for the first time ever. So I can do all the things my partner never had time to do with us. Hey! A NN in Aries description that doesn't call me a people pleaser. Quite refreshing! And also, one of the best descriptions I've heard. I think I'm so service oriented on a spiritual level......as a soul I forgot I need to be a individual human just like everyone else. It's tricky because I find being human and going after basic desires kinda petty when they don't fit into some overarching higher purpose. But there ya go. I have my moon in Aries along with Saturn in Aries all in my 8 house, So I’ve had a boost because of a difficult first half of my life left me with no choice but to live my north node.With that said, now that my life is calmer, I tend to slip into the Libra mode sometimes

YESSSS !!! This is EXACTLY the epiphany I had at the end of December. I- even as a Cancer sun, need to be more self reliant. I have a Aries North and Libra South node. I have always been a non conformist, however and I believe strongly in individualists and not going along to get along- unless there is a good reason (closet opportunist 😏). With that being said my north and south sit and the same degree... Is that like duality- Not too much give or take? Still learning and interpreting my chart- any one know a good place to read up on this further?

Here's an idea (i haven't put it yet into practice, but i have a strong feeling this is gonna shove me towards my Aries path again): Everybody talks about individuality, courage, doing things alone, but has anyone ever thought about addictions? In the "eyes" of the universe, if we rely on cigarettes, alcohol, etc., doesn't that make us dependent on those substances/habbits? So how could we ever hope to achieve our true calling in this lifetime if we constantly try to "numb" our soul fire and our awareness (as far as i know it's the channel through which the universe communicates and guides us)? 5-6 years ago, for 4 month i've quit smoking, started to work out and ate healthy and after two months i've started to feel like myself, i became more independent and felt like i didn't need anyone. I was truly happy. But because i was younger and didn't know anything about my north node yet, i wasn't grateful enough, so i've lost that beautiful state of being, started smoking again, lost my self confidence and went back to my old ways as a Libra south node. Because this happened to me only once, i can't say for sure if losing my addiction was the missing puzzle piece in becoming myself. Make of this little story what you will. My good guy Libra node thought it might help some of you guys. Cheers and i hope some of you succeed in becoming a full-fledged beautiful Aries north node ;)

Hello, Alyssa! I have North Node in Aries. My South Node is conjunct my sun and moon. I have some questions. Does your interpretation of the North Node and South Node only apply to the houses that they are in? For example, My North Node is in the third house and my South Node is in the ninth house. I'm trying to understand how the houses fit in. I'm confused because I don't know If I'm supposed to act like an Aries or if I'm supposed to be like a Libra.

Im a cancer sun sign, and virgo moon, i have an earthy water chart, a huge homebody but my north node is Sagg. I have itchy feet, i recently backpacked through the U.S and i have never felt as fulfilled as i did when i was traveling.

Serious question. Being an astrologer myself I wonder if my soul planned it to be this way: My South Node is Aries and North Node is Libra (opposite this video but i'm sure you'll get there in the series), HOWEVER, my Ascendant is ALSO LIbra. I am aware that our South Node is where we feel most comfortable/at ease and that our North Node is how we strive for well-roundedness and in that, we may not be very good at North Node-ing...Yet my Asc is Libra. Could you elucidate further on what this means for me?

I cannot pinpoint my identity. Please can u help me, what do you do if your identity is hidden from yourself? I also have my moon and mercury in cancer in 12th as well.

I have my north node in Aries but I also have my sun in Aquarius. You said how you need to find who you are with this placement but some people say Aquarius are born knowing who they are. Also Aquarius are pretty independent. Does your north node affect you more than your sun sign or can the sun sign change how the north node gives you traits?

R is used to show planet being retrograde( moving backwards). As Nodes move backwards all the time, letter R is always there.

A little bit! The sign is the energy that you have, the houses are where the energy is directed. So you can say the energy of your blank NN is directed at figuring yourself out, and really finding your true identity outside of others wants for you.

Yes! You do have to develop your south node, and fully understand it. Some people more than others, especially if there is a planet there. i couldn't begin to go to my North Node, until after my Saturn Return, because Saturn is in the same sign as my South node. I had some lessons first lol. And that was a good question! You totally don't suck at them:)
