You got that right girlfriend, the Queen that she was, that she she will always be graciously allowed Dennis, who`s voice had changed some but who was never any less than he was in his prime ( it was still there, we heard it and we remembered) to share the spotlight that they kept lit for so long. It's scary to what they must all , Aretha, Luther, Whitney, Marvin, Sam, Lou, Michael ....all of them sound like singing together in that place they journeyed to when they left here. Wasn't she a beautiful human being ?

Y'all crazy Aretha and Dennis making magic. She used to date him in the 70s briefly and wrote the song daydreaming about him. Ron is the icing on the cake. This is pure soul music at its best

No Aretha knew the words, she recorded this song. When Dennis was with the Temptations, in the 70’s he sung this song to Aretha. Then later on she recorded it. So yes she knew the words very well.

It was a pleasure to watch Dennis conduct that piece, with strained voice and all, and also cue Ron in at parts…..Simply a masterpiece performance in my book

Denise Mitchell He didnt have to, he was Dennis Edwards, and he had enough voice for them to to win their first Grammy with him on Cloud Nine, so that sounds like chemistry to me. I am a major Temptations fan and my post had nothing to do with David Ruffin we were talking about Aretha and Dennis. David Ruffin was one of the best singers of our time and always will be but is irrelevant to this post. Dennis Edwards has made his own place in history as one of the greats.

So did I before Aretha and Nancy Wilson and Ruth Pointer and another background singer of the Temptiations I am anxious to really know how Brenda Edwards fill into the equation she is said to be his wife when Dennis passed away We had similar personalties plus at the time of our relationship he was a church plus me too Also he did not have any abusive substance habits and I have never not ever smoked dranked nor use drugs I also was a spirtual singer and had my husband not come to Detroit then moved me away from Detroit I am sure we would have married Everything about us were. Electrifying but fate took a turn I have always regret but doing the Lord will and not my own is my marto I pray Dennis did not suffer at death he was one of the most loyal kind. loving. caring person one could ever meet. His upbringing and love that was started with his mother as the same love was given to me by my mother equally yoked is. I feel daily sadness for Dennis Edwards Also I feel and share such love for those whom had a chance to encounter. DPitts❤️❤️😁🙏🏿

Patti was dating Otis William, they were engaged to marry, but Patti called it off because he wanted her to stop singing and become a Housewife. So they broke up. And the both of them are still singing, her and Otis.
