Interesting connection to Aretha & this song: Aretha was one of Freddie Mercury's most favorite singers---he especially LOVED her Gospel albums and even pulled inspiration from her to create Queen's "Somebody to Love"---it was his "version" of a gospel-style song. He had fanticize that they would one day sing a duet, but sadly it never happened. Aretha singing THIS song is what was playing as his casket was entering the church for his funeral.

My mom loved this song bless her heart miss her so much

She is not long for this world as I type. Prayers for her and her family, and may God take her hand and peacefully lead her home.

I too want a recording of this song by Aretha to be played at a memorial service to be held when I have gone on up a little higher I loved Aretha so much that I still get chills when I hear her sing.
