Step 1: Find a friggin' starter set at a reasonable price. Good luck, you're going to need it.
In a word, fantastic! I have been fascinated by WW1 aircraft and piloting for years, and this seems an excellent game. Thanks for the lucid explanations.
This was a great tutorial I bought the game today with a few planes and was able to play several rounds with friends.
Fantastic. Do more Wings of Glory videos!
looking at getting into this, and how you have explained it helps a lot.. really made my mind up to give this a go thank you
just ordered the rules and a few planes for my son (and me ;-) ), think this will be pretty easy for a 9 year old to understand in its basic form. This is his first 'table top experience' and your video will really help with understanding the basics, big thanks for that !!.
Very good detailed fast pace report. Please do more.
Great demonstration. Extremely helpful. I've found my next hobby investment.
An old video I know but such a fantastic explanation of how to play. This is how these types of videos should be done. Sadly, this game is hard to find and many of the sought after aircraft (like the Red Baron's mounts) are no longer available. The online auction market doesn't help either as the prices are insane for such tiny models! Also the game mats are rare and fetch crazy prices. I really wish Ares (the company that makes this game) would pump some new life into this. Re-release the starter set but this time include two aircraft (like they did with the WWII edition and their "Sails of Glory" game). Re-release some of the more famous aces aircraft (and do a proper run of them...not this "limted edition"/"limted stock" nonsense). Produce the game mats as well. This is STILL a popular game with some clubs and at gaming conventions so there is still interest. But finding materials for it is trying. Nice video again!
You have got the jamming rule back to front, The plane that shoots receives the jam, Not the plane that was fired at.
really great ,well explained demo. you do speak a bit quick but your voice is clear and easy to understand.
Good clear demo:thank you,I am sure it will help a lot of newcomers. Keep up the good work.Robin43
Just got my game from Amazon today. Looks like a lot of fun.
Great Job, please more of that!
Excellent job, very clear and concise. Will be picking this game up soon.
Thanks! Just started to get some planes and study rules. This was very helpful!

You're welcome!
Splendid. I'd like to see more videos of WGF.
Not played game yet, helpful and interesting talk.
Great job. I enjoy the rules.
Thanks for this very useful video
Great demo. I'm at a gaming convention now and wanted to see how it works before we go play it.
Thank you for a great video designed with the complete novice in mind. Many videos claim they are for beginners but it is soon becomes evident that this is not the case. Hopefully we will be seeing more good quality productions in addition to this and others already available.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Great work.
Very well done.
I really like the WW 2 version of this game!
Helps a lot. Thx. so much
very good video. buying the game
Great job
I love those Sopwith Snipes, but that's a Fokker D. VII base...?
Would you be doing a video for advanced gaming rules soon?
Very handy. Any idea where a list of planes is with codes so you can purchase balanced pairs? Turn card and damage.
Hurrah !!
A few minor errors.... the B deck (1 gun) does less damage than the A deck (2 guns). A steep card (with diamond) such as the stall-turn of a Fokker D.VII (no other aircraft has it) must be followed and preceeded by any non-steep (ie no diamond) card. Not just a straight, most turns aren't steep. Otherwise brilliant.

Thank you ! Happy Holidays to You and Your Family !
I've been looking for a Fokker D. VII with no luck. Any ideas on where to get one? Thanks.
is there a similar system for Napoleonic Naval ?
Great tutorial. What happens if your maneuver cards place your planes in the same space? Mid-air collision?

You would swap out the models out with the plane cards.
11:30 - no tailing to see where the enemy goes?
Just curious, did you get that jamming bit backwards? It makes no sense that a plane that was fired on draws a damage card and it makes the plane that did the shooting jam up for three turns...?

Why would the plane that got shot have jammed guns?? He had it right. The plane that does the shooting gets jammed.
You mentioned around 7:00 that damage cards are drawn by the one recieving damage without the one doing damage knowing what the result is... in the case of a weapons jam...does the one being shot at reveal that to the enemy and say you suffered a weapons jam.. or is the weapons jam card what the player being shot at suffers?

Raaven616Gaming if you draw a weapons jam damage card you show that to the opponent that caused the damage, and HIS guns are jammed, as he was doing the shooting. You can cover the damage amount with your thumb so as to not show the damage number he inflicted upon you if you choose to, but you MUST reveal the weapons jammed insignia on the card to your opponent to clearly chow him his guns are jammed.

Is there a repair airbase🤔
Are these planes made as well as the wings of war ones. Is wings of glory a revamp? These seem cheaper made than the originals and the retail is lower I know because wings of glory is newer.

Same game. New company. Minis are exactly the same.
lol the black background was a poor choice :)
Thanks.... great job of sorting these things out... I bought a great number of planes and such... now I am interesting of pulling them out.
He said Fokker. Hehe
I know this was an explanation of the basic rules....would have loved to have explained the altitude situations and how it changes damage, and such....
