I dunno man, but hopefully this ASMR cranial nerve exam roleplay set to the backdrop of Area 51 will be relaxing. 🎙 What is ASMR? 🎧
ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. Whether it’s being ‘held’ by someone you have confidence in, or ‘looked after’ by someone with authority, or just feeling ‘safe’ with someone you trust, it uses audio-visual triggers to enable you to let go of your worries and stresses - even just for a bit.
📽 What is FPC? 🎞
FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds - just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos - but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.

I low-key want a part 2 where the kid or grandkid this worker is talking to the same alien, decades later, or maybe the child or grandchild of the alien
It might be an odd assessment, but for whichever reason I unexpectedly found this one far more romantic than anything I've seen you make, in recent memory, for a long time. It almost had the sort of intimate draw and private feel of a dream which you immediately forget upon waking... leaving behind nothing but the faint deja vu of having shared a profound emotional moment with a kind stranger

I love the idea that the American government wants to 1st make sure the alien isn't a communist. I don't know why, but that thought is amazing.

@cooliostarstache5474 it can be. After the cheerfulness of the holidays in December, January with its cold and snowy weather (depending on where you live) can be a bit depressing
The telepathy sound effects are really nice.
Not sure if you know the game called Deadly Premonition - it's as brilliant and dark as it is funny and fucked up, so you probably do - but your introduction made me realize you could totally roleplay as its protagonist Francis York Morgan, one very...eccentric FBI agent. Also, I love all the little noises created by smoking. It's like having honey poured slowly onto my synapses. P.S. Thanks for NOT shooting us for once - I appreciate that you took one for the team this time :V

Oh, wow, I love this! I felt captivated, right from the get go with the introductions and the scene. The way you pulled off the telepathy felt natural for our character and I hope none's the wiser about Hoot's hand in our escape - - you nailed the '50's iconic Americanisms and I enjoyed the inflections in your voice during the 'questioning' that really felt like the government asking 'are you an intergalactic communist' about twelve different times. lol. Now you've got me really, really curious if we took a liking to Mr. Hoot or if we're just gonna head out to get a fender bender on a more hospitable planet. I'm also rather curious to find out how Hoot was familiar with our kind, as the 'not again' aspect really caught my attention. Love the attention to details and the writing is fantastic as always!! It's been said a thousand times at this point by your fans but, seriously, your talent is outstanding and the standards to which you hold yourself to always guarantees a top-notch experience all around - - you're the first to have introduced me to FPC, and I'm eternally grateful for it. Thank you again, Jim, you're an ace!

I love all your ASMR videos, but I found this one especially relaxing, the white noise in the background and the lighting are very calming, but also a bit ominous. Your channel never fails to amaze me, Jim!
This video was such a delight to watch and listen to!! The audio and accent were perfectly fitting the time period, made my American science fiction loving heart flutter 💚💜 and the visuals were just incredible on top of that, great video in both concept and execution. I really like the addition of hearing the character’s thoughts, and I’d love to see that in more videos in the future too- it’s such a clever way to add another ASMR trigger while also exploring the story and character a bit more with dialogue
