Because they are now manufactured in China/Indonesia/Thailand etc because it’s cheaper to manufacture

I just bought a pair and was getting little red flags and differences from a few other pairs of my converse but they seem like either stupidly good fakes if they are or just a real, older pair that weren't used much

Honestly I don't understand why people get worked up over a piece of clothing or something being "fake"

something being fake can have bad quality, leading to fake shoes etc to be worn down within months or even weeks.. so it wouldn't be worth it to keep or buy.

I think the blue converse might just be a real old well worn shoe. I had shoes become well worn like the blue one. I don't think the blue one is fake as I already said.

Both of these shoes are obviously used and worn; so that may mean that the differences in shape and color may be incorrect.

Notice that chuck written on blue..the c and h are abreast or very close!

The lace holes on the blue shoe are farther from the edge of where the tongue section is

Well, I think I just scored some authentic forest greens! All authentic signs are present except that it has the r under the star but I think I shouldn't worry about that.

the blue ones is probably an old version but still authentic, the older version have the ® in the patch logo in it and the blue one has it. Other details are still almost the same. Both are real in my opinion.

My ones don't have the circle on the side but that's because the hole where your foot goes in is smaller, other than that.. Mine look real, they have a converse all star sign on the heel, with non smudged writing and stuff, so if mine are fake or not I still love them

There are people who actually go in fake stores and pay full price for fake shoes. That is what happened to my friend, she thought her's were real because she payed full price, but she didn't realize they were fake until the logo came off.

This and that Higher quality shoes that will last longer at $50 = lower quality that will wear out quicker also at $50 I prefer shoes that will last longer than some cheaply made shoes that will rip in 1 day both at the same price

get chuck 70s if u want good quality, also better insoles which is a huge upgrade. i went to the site to get mine cuz they dont sell size 14s anywhere ever.so unless theres a fake section on the site, mine should be 100% legit lol

I thought mine was fake because the chuck taylor logo on the inner side was smudged, idk how it happened ive had for about 2-3 months, is dat normal

Nemo Seangrath you should worry about the website as long as you know it's a legit website

And I think if you look at the back you see the stitches the real ones are close and the fake ones are a bit more wide

For some reason my converse have a mix of both. The trim goes down half way, and that makes it fake but the logo is stitched and does not have a R under the star and the star is navy blue and that makes it real.The toe cap is stuck together with the tongue of the shoe and the tongue does not say all star on it.The stitching is the only thing that makes my shoe fake. Although the price was around $45-$50 dollars. The fake converse would be around $20-$25. Please reply to me.

The original high top converse don't have that. And if it does have the brand it wouldn't just have "all star" it would have converse in white letters and a black banner behind it to make it stand out and then the wording "all star" in black letters

im glad all my converse are real. lol

Another way to tell if yours might be fake is look at the eyelets. The ones on the blue shoe are smaller & look just like any knock off pair you'll see in a cheap store.

I'm so happy, my converse turned out to be real. I'm a 14 year old male and I wear size 9.5 men.

One warning sign for a fake is that the logo on the side isn't sewn on. Fakes are usually glued.

Nothing wrong with that. The letter R was removed after 2008, but up until now, it's still exist and only available for Japan Market. Check the label inside tongue for destination code (market area), is there mentioned "JPN" in the side of sizing chart and right-bottom of the label? Check another part like heel patch and ankle patch, it should be have a little circle with letter "R" inside (below the star logo).

I recently got all black ones for 60 dollars... the ones with more padding were 55 dollars and that's including tax. So depending where you get them they aren't cheap. I got mine at Journey's and the first converse that I got were 20 dollars still in good condition (which are very much real as well.)

There are many fakes out there, but when you look at the stupidly high price of genuine Chuck's that last no longer than fakes it's not surprising. Chucks are badly made, to the point Nike even made a Higher quality version for an extra £30 which was the original standard of the old days, and now we get cheap quality versions as the norm! Goes to show they are cheating the buyer!

Yes -_- The real patch has a navy blue star, whereas the fake one may have different shade of blue. Also, the original will be stamped with ONLY a star and Taylor's signature.
