Habs priorities right now are a top-6 center, top pair offensive RHDman and goalie for the future. I don't see how you can justify acquiring Laffy unless he signs a very cheap deal long term. Number one to go for now imo is Simon Nemec.

Thing is I don't see a fit between NY and Mtl for that type of trade. Rangers want to compete now so I doubt they want picks and prospects for Lafreniere. They want an impact player coming back as part of the trade because they know trading a player this young with his skill level could end up backfiring. So it better be a piece that helps them get over the hump. And Anderson isn't such a piece either. Besides doing a trade like this before the lottery makes no sense from a Habs perspective. Lafreniere isn't worth a top 10 pick at this point.

They said the same thing about Guy. He like Alexis went to a team with talent and was relegated to 3rd and 4th line minutes and little to no power play time. Guy became a pretty good player.

i want to do a trade for lafreniere with a dvorak twist , with 5000 word to protect you'r self for the 2 pick for a top 5 , any draft pick that higher is welcome to trade lafreniere remind me of dach , maybe he got more of shot then dach . i can't imagine him doing worst then armia , hoffman , dadonov , hoffman or gallagher . give him some quality time with a good center that you can pick at the draft or sign pierre-luc dubois this summer .

Tickets must have a disclaimer that reads , the montreal canadiens reserve the right to tank the season for a good draft pick .

Even the Habs having a horrible 2nd half is unlikely to yield Bedard, they will probably have no more than a 10% chance... however there are some other really good players they are likely to end up with if they finish bottom 5.

Right now including florida’s pick they have 13.5% chance at number 1…

Habs land Fantilli and they will be Cup contenders.

Not a chance , I don't think he s worth a 2023 1st rd pick. I wouldn't waiste it. I think he s lost value . I would do a straight up trade Anderson for him . That's it , other than that too much risk.
