I didn't mention this in my post but I'm 61. It's a long story but in a nutshell COVID saved my life. After 35 years of outstanding performance appraisals from my employer they were terminating me for my refusal to take a flu shot. I was 58 years old and in poor shape. I went to weight lifting as a stress reliever and ended up getting addicted to working out listening to music and going off in my own world. Off all medications and 52 pounds lighter through diet and exercise.@@amymarie1655

@@brumsticks1 100 burpees can be done slick in under 6 mins. The pull up/pushup/squat portion of the murph is usually 30-35 mins. This is essentially the same 3 movements flowed into one. The one hour standard is a great time cap for this. Ill put this on my list of videos for the future.

Your workout is amazing. I am 46 am pretty disabled. I do what I can, but this is where I am at. My workout at the gym is a 10-15 minute full body stretch, doing the weight lifting cycle of lifting machine (which is 13 different lifting exercises) then I do 2.25 miles on the elliptical (I use that machine because I only have 5% of my vision and afraid I am going to fall off the treadmill. I do my 2 mile in about 15 min 15ish seconds), then 15 minutes on the rowing machine at maxed tension. I lost 45 lbs and 5 inches of my waist since April.

I'm hitting a heavy bag for 1/2 hour, do a 30 lbs weighted ruck for about 10 miles up a steep grade, and do strength training about 5 days a week. Pushing it about as hard as an old 65 years old can do. Dropped 85 lbs in the past two years. What I've noticed the most is a total attitude change and an abundance of energy. Oh also doing a 30 minute HIIT workout following Nate Bowers. Start moving and you'll keep moving. Cheers and Happy New Year!

Dig this like I've done Murph with a vest in under an hour. Surprised however weighted thrusters aren't being done on phase 1 since we're picking gear up and putting it over head. The OHP ain't no joke. Carry on brochacho-

I'm thinking this is part of the reason the Seals are called the best of the best. I can surely admire those who get to this place in their abilities. I'm 66 and still smoking tobacco, but I've decided to do some minimal workout every day...something that I can surely accomplish. If I do more that's fine, but if I only do the minimum it will be 365 days of doing more than I had been doing and I can ramp it up as I get better. This video is encouraging and would be like a miracle to accomplish at my age and condition. But the grass doesn't grow over night, and if you check periodically over time you'll see that it grows a lot by growing a little each day. Best wishes to all who strive for excellence!

Happy New Year! I dipped for 10 years and realized I couldn’t get fitter because of it! I slowly weaned myself off with dedication and it sucked but paid off! I now run over 30 trail miles a week and do all these workouts he posts either ease, and I’m in the 40’s! Best of luck my man!

@@miasorry Awesome, dude. I'm still pretty active at 66 cause I'm used to doing things for myself, but I can surely do better. I've started already, cutting back on what's bad and increasing what's good. Congrats on the dip. I've been on that before too. I wish you great success and a happy new year as well.

For two decades I have separated training disciplines; strength work gets its own day(s) and conditioning gets its own day(s). On occasion, the two are combined for a “test” or “calibration” session (focused on identifying which quality needs more attention). I generally do not do “general preparedness” tasks; I prefer to keep my movement and conditioning selection specific to the tasks I will seek to perform. In this way, I have been able to make better progress by taking a targeted approach. I am not saying mine is THE way to do it or that it will get you through selection. However, great minds such as Alex Viada (Complete Human Performance), hold to the same methodology.

I've worked in construction theblast 15 years. I'm more in shape and can lift heavy objects on the regular more so than others my age and weight. Running isn't my strong suit, but I can if needed. And I can adapt with the mental fortitude if needed.

I'm 40 and it legit breaks my dang heart that I cant do this. "Tennis elbow" is a nasty demon. Take care of your forearms gents, or at least thats how I think I got it. A forearm muscle imbalance. I can squat, run, and do a lot of lifts, but pull ups and cleans are murder on my hurt tendon. Been dealing with it for 4 months now. Be grateful if you are injury free, it aint fun. Love these videos.
