Just classified series alone is overwhelming. I got into collecting classified joes at the beginning of 2023, and it’s been insane trying to catch up on older figures and keep up with current releases as well. This would definitely keep new collectors from jumping into the line in my opinion. Keep up the great and entertaining videos brother!

How have you found tracking down some of the older figs? I imagine there's a few that are tricky to lay hands on nowadays?

@@MoDXtraGC I’m in a collector group on Facebook that has helped out stupendously, with prices far below those on eBay, even on exclusives. Also buying bundled lots cuts down on overall cost and shipping. With my tax return I was able to get Serpentor, mindbender, and major blood for around $220 shipped.

Good timing on this video. I've definitely been feeling burnt out on the Classified line the past few weeks. I had to pass on some of the figures (at least for now) because there were just too many. I don't know what I'm going to do in July. My preorders look overwhelming and the FOMO is tough. There always seems to be that one figure that is tough to find if you didn't preorder from Hasbro, so I'm always reluctant to cancel a preorder for a figure that I'm really excited about. That said, I have no advice for you on which to do next. I'm not interested in the ML stuff, and I already have Scarlett in hand (she's fantastic.) Keep up the great content, Chris!

Fellow FOMO sufferer right here man. We’re kindred collectors Curtis! I get that instinct too - what if this is the one time a fig I liked the look of becomes a tricky get? Comforting to know I’m not alone though bro 👊🏻

Yes...and no... There's a flood of Classified but they are more or less arriving on their original pre-order dates so I'd planned for that, plus I've skipped a few (Metal-Head, HMS). I could have paced them out a bit but with Classified usually selling out I didn't want to risk it - yet this time around they all seem to be hanging around! Luckily (I think) I ordered the ML's I want from HMV who are usually late getting them in so that's giving me a bit of break as well. I don't do YT so I don't have that pressure to get them quickly. Plus there's very little in Black Series that appeals to me currently. May and June are looking fairly quiet but there's another avalanche of mainly Joe's expected in July. P.S. Don't listen to that guy on "X" he knows nothing!🤣

I think its interesting you point out the "I don't do KZread". I definitely think there's a strange pressure one applies when you step into the YT video making space that exacerbates the feeling - which I note in the vid. The idea of spacing out purchases would certainly help, but I'm FOMOing on the YT race to stay contemporary and relevant. Quite a few folks also noting how Black Series' output at the moment has made things a bit easier. A blessing in disguise LOL

A couple years ago I was overwhelmed I'd have maybe three pages of pre-orders. But thank God for Disney stepping in curving my enthusiasm for Star wars now I'm down to one page.

Thanks Bobby. It's been crazy. Over on the Discord there was a bit of chat about whether collecting multiple lines is a contributing factor, which seems to be the case if you feel better without Black Series in your mix?

@@MoDXtraGC it's not really feeling better it's just I'm not that interested in the characters they're putting out. And when they do put out a character I'm interested in they pair it with another one I'm not. The last one I did get is starkiller but the one that was individual not the one that was over $100 that came with force effects and two generic stormtroopers

I’m not overwhelmed… I collect classified only… a few retros… Hasbro is definitely shipping faster and the whole wave arrives at one time which is nice IMO. If you are collecting more than 1 line from Hasbro… then yes… I believe it would be overwhelming. I open 1 figure a day when I get a bundle… spread out the joy..

1 figure a day! That's some admirable restraint that I just can't fathom LOl! TBF - as I note in the vid - some part of that is practical because I open everything when I've rigged up the desk for the overhead camera so I can take it down to use the desk for real-life day-job during the day. :)

@@MoDXtraGC I totally understand the flipping of gear on a desk! The day job pushes its way in! I built a small toy/gaming room in my basement. The only work in here is for my things! I have an Icon Heroes Classified gaming pad on my desk… LOVE it. Check it out if you’ve never seen it!

Yes Hasbro figures are shipping out faster than ever before. Remember how we used to complain about having to wait for almost a year before they arrived at our doors ?😂😂😂😂 There are rumors that they are trying to get more products out to make up for the fact that Hasbro has lost millions on Star wars and marvel movies figures. Im only buying most Gi joe classified figures even though they're many other cool lines i would like to purchase....just have to be more selective on what i buy

Yep - its been very "feast or famine" on the Classified journey, hasn't it? I should be more selective (Self-confessed obsessive FOMO sufferer here!) but even right now when I have cut a few things out it has felt real barmy.
